Remember when the media destroyed Richie Incognito?

They labeled him a bully and pretty much had him run out of the league. Now the guy who was allegedly bullied recants everything. More great work by the media. Hope Incognito sues everyone.

Totally forgot that story. What a ********

****** up.

The point at which I knew as a society we were in trouble.........when we were concerned about a pro football player being bullied. The whole ****** game us supposed to be based upon it.

At that time I thought the Steelers should have signed him. We needed OL help and if we'd sign Michael Vick, then what the hell?

Richie went through a Humiliation Ritual.

Lets not pretend like he didn't paint himself as a certain type of player before all of this nonsense came out anyway... lol
True, he'd make the League's Dirtiest Players List every year.

:sneaky: you might even say he...

*puts on sunglasses real cool-like*

....didn't do such a great job of being......incognito :heh::playball::party:

Nice play.

Salute the nation

Dirtiest players is a poll of NFL players, I believe. Not officially league sanctioned
Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin was subjected to "a pattern of harassment" that included racial slurs and vicious sexual taunts about his mother and sister by three teammates, according to a report released Friday by NFL investigator Ted Wells.

The 144-page report said Richie Incognito, who was suspended by the team in November, and fellow offensive linemen John Jerry and Mike Pouncey harassed Martin
. Another offensive lineman and an assistant trainer also routinely came under attack, the investigation found. Neither was named in the report.

I'm sorry, I'm misunderstanding. How does the NFL conducting an investigation change the fact that the "Dirtiest Players" is a poll of NFL players and not officially league sanctioned? Or make my statement pointing that out invalid/mistaken?

As for what was or was not done to Incognito in regards to the investigation, I see in your quote that "another offensive lineman and an assistant trainer also routinely came under attack, the investigation found". Have they recanted their statements also?

The NFL ****** Incognito and others by issuing a report that was false. I did not write that your statement was false.

The thing is that “SOME” of it was false. Admittedly, the most reported and sensationalized part. However, like I said, there was also another player and an athletic trainer who made similar claims against Incognito and other players. If they didn’t recant, we can’t say the whole report was false.

My point, my only point was the NFL ****** Incognito, Mike Pouncey and the other OL by formally blaming them in a false report.

Rather than supporting their players, or doing nothing, they actively added to the weight of someone who bore false witness. It doesn't matter if Incognito was the world's dirtiest football player. Another guy lied about him and the NFL made a 144 page document approving that lie. Shame on them!

In the view of the public, they wrongly convicted a man of acts that he did not do. They should be sued for damages.

I think he Did those acts. Found this in an ESPN article

Multiple sources confirmed to ESPN that the following is a transcript of a voice message Incognito left for Martin in April 2013, a year after Martin was drafted:

"Hey, wassup, you half n----- piece of s---. I saw you on Twitter, you been training 10 weeks. [I want to] s--- in your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your real mother across the face [laughter]. F--- you, you're still a rookie. I'll kill you."

so if this was recorded, how can people say it didn't happen? Someone says he's going to slap my mom and I'd try to destroy that guy, there's a difference between bullying and threatening a family member.

Aside from that, the racial slur, coming from Incognito, sounds like serious hate crime. I'm wondering what the hell did Pouncey thought of Incognito using that word towards Martin? Aren't there enough insults in the english language to go use the one that is obviously recognized as racist as ****?

Bullying or not, as they are big guys and should solve it without running to the press, Incognito is a piece of **** human being and I don't get how the rest of the team supported that. That voice message says everythig about him

ok, so why is the guy recounting his story and apologizing a decade later?

Who knows? He can feel bullied or not, that's subjective.

But a tape recording/message is completely objective, one could call it evidence.
