Dont get me wrong I can not stand Colin Kaepernick, but the skins signed a dude on his 20th contract with 12 different teams who has not thrown a pass since 2011 over Kaepernick. This is also a team who found no issue picking up Foster.

The Washington Redskins announced Wednesday the signing of journeyman quarterback Josh Johnson, who last threw a regular-season pass in 2011 while as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Johnson will back up Mark Sanchez, who finds himself atop the depth chart after Colt McCoy suffered a fractured fibula in Week 13. McCoy previously replaced Alex Smith, who is out for the season with a broken leg suffered in Week 11. Johnson and Sanchez currently are the only healthy quarterbacks on the Redskins' roster.

When speaking to reporters Tuesday, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said that Colin Kaepernick had been discussed internally as an option, but they "will probably go in a different direction."

The Redskins also announced the signings of defensive end Marcus Smith, center Zac Kerin and guard Demetrius Rhaney. In corresponding roster moves, the team placed cornerback Quinton Dunbar, wide receiver Trey Quinn and guard Jonathan Cooper on injured reserve.

I don't think anyone wants the media circus that will come with Kaepernick. It has similarities with what went on with Tebow. I think Kaepernick should've had a job by now.

Guy played ****** towards the end and has been out of football for a significant amount of time.

Most teams probably feel it is a waste to even work him out.

Despite not wanting the circus that comes with it.

i understand the circus, but they picked up Reuben foster and signed a guy who hasn't thrown a real pass in 7yrs. Surely their was someone better out there

Read a great article today that said kaepernick is so limited as a QB that you have to design a RPO offense only for him to run and the Skins and others do not run that simple system and would have to entirely change thep laybook for the mediocre QB to even have a chance plus he has not played or practiced in 2 years.

**** the arrogant POS. If he studied and actually tried to learn to be a real NFL QB he could get off his knees and quirt fellating himself, he is a garbage QB with a garbage personality and mind set.

2011! I guess Brett Fabre couldn’t be coaxed one more time?

No, people don't want to pick up Kaepernic, because they don't want their fan base TRIGGERED!!!!!

I don't know if NFL teams colluded, but I can assure you no one is signing Kaepernick for the same reason. Nobody wants that circus.

Kaperdork is a bench warmer for one. He is a locker room cancer for two. He has no leadership qualities is three. He is very controversial with his stance hating the police. He is a racist race baiter. So, why the **** would anyone want to hire him? I sure wouldn't.

Fuuuuck Colin Kaepernick.

Why would any team want to alienate half their fan base to sign some self-important mediocre QB? There are plenty of mediocre QBs that will not trigger fan protest and locker room chaos.

So again, Fuuuck Colin Kaepernick.

My real inquiry would be as to why NOT Landry Jones??? Curious as to if other teams think little of his talent or Landry is being picky??

As for Krappernick, he made his bed and thus he can lye in it. About the same time he hooked up with his "liberal" girlfriend, this protest surfaced so the price of her ***** is no longer an nfl QB. Must have been a whopper of a *****.................. yoikkkkkeeeesss!!!!

Salute the nation
