This week will begin the series and I believe we are the best all around team in the league.

My only concern is how to shutdown Lamar without Devin patrolling from sideline to sideline...

Baltimore has a helluva ground attack too. Our defensive backs and safties cannot get sucked in and need to keep Hollywood in front of them all game.

Keep up the great work, Coach Tomlin and team!!! We're rooting for ya!!!

Cleveland has (or had at the time we played them) the #1 ground attack in the league, and they were limited to like 75 yards @ 3.4 YPC. Tennessee #5 and held to like 82 yards @ 3.6 YPC. But like you mentioned, it's Jackson's feet and keeping contain is what worries me.

Gotta stop the run and key in on their TEs. This is the game where we will notice Bush is gone for the year. Curious to see if they drop Edmunds into the box to cover some TEs.

Lamar better feel a hit every time he leaves the pocket.

Minimize the big plays by the Ravens O is the key....and we will win this one rather easily..

I believe we will win the TOP rather handily...

ALSO get the lead, make them play from behind and Lamary will defeat themselves.

Ravens are #1 in rushing due to Jackson. Not quite the same as keying on a RB like Henry. Also Andrews (TE) is a big target for them and we dont like to cover TEs. I think its foolish to automatically assume we will easily shut them down. If we have first half Ben we will win, but if he plays like he did in the second half we will get steamrolled. Just have to be patient and efficient of offense and keep our D fresh.

This Steelers defense is soooo much better at stopping the run than the 2014-2016 defenses. Right now, from what I have seen, I don't think any offense can beat the Steelers via the running game. The Steelers just played the best RB in football the past two seasons, the league's #1 RB, a guy coming off a 200 yard rushing performance, and stoned him.

The teams that scare me are the timing passing teams that use the TE and crossing routes. Yes, I get that Jackson likes the TE, but he stares the guy down like a 13-year old boy looking at a pretty girl on the beach. Jackson is confused and ineffective vs. the zone. Steelers play a lot of zone. Jackson loves wide open receivers. Zone reduces that quite a bit. Jackson is not an accurate passer. If rushed, he will look for the TE and then take off. That's his schtick.

I Hope Spillane smashes Jackson into smithereens, or anybody for that matter. Steelers need to put a spy on him, that can also match his speed..

Rats will out coach the Steelers. Bet on it.

How about your CHEATRIOTS...................... What happens when Ernie retires?

If you haven't noticed, Coach Tomlin is coaching pretty ******* well this season. He has stepped up a notch to this point, just like he has asked each and every player to do.

Steelers defended Jackson pretty well last year

Week 5 Ravens win 26-23 in OT against Rudolph and Duck.
Ravens only had 2 TD drives and one of those drives was only a 15 yard drive after a turnover

Jackson 161 passing 1 TD 3 INT and 70 rushing 5.0 avg 0 TD

The Ravens OL is not as good as last year. That's part of their problem. Teams have figured out Jackson a bit too. Keep him in the pocket and make him throw into windows and he struggles.

Last year the raven OL was much better so it was harder to stuff that run without bringing a DB into the box. This year defenses have been better able to stop that run just with the front 7. Also, none of the Ravens RBs are that great. They are all solid but none of them are guys who make you miss and create yards.

It was so easy for Lamar last year. Almost always throwing against zone coverage to a wide open guy. One read because the coverage was simple due to how much they had to commit to stopping the run. This year he is seeing some actual coverages and struggling to make the reads and even more so he's struggling to make the throws.

This is why Andrews is his top target. He needs that huge catch radius. It's why they are looking at Dez Bryant who couldn't run 3 years ago. They just need guys who can catch his jump balls.

We don't have anyone on D to match his speed...dems da facts. Gonna need to confuse and box him in...

Watt/Dupree 2020

You best believe L.Jackson is feeling some pain

So as near as I can tell the Rats opened as a 7 pt favorite in Vegas. I think its down to 3.5 now.

Anyway, I like that.

Almost wants me to become a bettor.

I think our O will control. I really do.

The D-Line is a lot quicker this year getting in the backfield and closing in on the ball carrier. It should at least make it a little tougher task for Jackson to run. As long as they don't leave any big holes to run through and as you said box in around him. You also have to watch for the dump offs to the backs.

If it were up to me...

My base D this week is Cover-3 with a QB spy (on every snap). I also think we can mix in a lot of man-to-man bracketing Andrews again a QB spy is necessary.

Steelers used Bud to spy Henry last week. Might do it again this week. Bud does have the quickness to stay with Lamar.

Also the Steelers have been shutting down TEs, including Jannu last week who was PFF's top rated TE. held to 1 catch. That's the game plan. Key on Andrews and pen LJ in.

Surprised the Ravens are favorites although they are at home
