Mike Tomlin is not a good coach. It's that simple. This team has no direction. The defense is now stocked with players who do not fit the scheme. That's on Tomlin.

If this team doesn't make the playoffs with this easy schedule, Tomlin has to go. 3 straight years without making the playoffs and you have a franchise QB, top 5 WR and good young RB. Sorry, gotta go.

The offense is trying to do something, i guess, but i don't know what it is. Apparently the staple of the offense is to throw quick to Antonio or Bell and hope they juke out 10 guys for a TD.

The Ravens didn't do **** in this game. Flacco had 166 yards passing. He had some of the easiest throws you'll ever see. Defensively, the ravens didn't have to do much other than just wait for the steelers to make a big mistake and stop themselves.

The Ravens have a new OC and they know what they are doing. Somehow it has taken years for Haley to teach his offense and they still don't have it right.

Could have had Steve Smith over Lance Moore. Great call.

What kind of retards are on the OL? Seriously. There are colleges who can execute a zone blocking scheme, but not these rejects. Nope.

Mike Mitchell is useless. Great, you're really fast and physical. Maybe that would make a difference if you were ever in good position.

Cortez. Feel free to make a play some time. Ike is old, what is your excuse?

Timmons. Can't cover TEs. Well good thing we pay him like a difference maker.

Justin Brown - that's the guy i remember from Penn State. He's just not that good and the fact he is in a position to play a significant role on this team speaks volumes about talent evaluation.

Cam Thomas - useless fat *******.

Jarvis - he tries hard, but he's just not good. Maybe he can transition to ILB, but he's useless at OLB. They should try to trade him while there still may be teams who liked him from the draft. Would there be a dropoff if Carter or Moats started? Sadly, no.

Worilds - your contract year has started. you may want to start playing .

Lance Moore - Ice up son.

throw in the Big Dummy just having an off night....and for this team to win, that can't happen...the D no longer picks up the slack.

agree with tape on all the rest.

how's Derek Moye look now, eh?

lol...

And another thing. Listening to NFL Network analysts shocked that Pitt lost the battle on both lines of scrimmage as if it's some fluke. Guess what, we've seen them lose that battle on both sides nearly every game for 3 years.

Z.) None of the above. According to Tomlin, your opinions have no value. We lost the game because of turnovers and penalties. Everything else is obviously perfectly ok.

Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin talks following Thursday night's loss to the Ravens.

Head Coach Mike Tomlin: It was a disappointing effort for us. A lot of self-inflicted wounds are going to prevent you from being in football games like that. We turned the ball over too often. We were highly penalized, particularly on the drives that they were able to manufacture and produce points. We were highly penalized defensively. Those two things are a lethal combination. You turn the ball over, you are highly penalized, you’re extending drives. You are going to lose football games like that and we did tonight. I’m not going to accept it, they can’t accept it. It happened tonight, but we’ve got to make the necessary corrections to move forward and make sure it doesn’t happen again. These games are too precious.

Last week you talked about communication issues with the defense. Was this more of an execution issue?
There wasn’t any issue. We turned the ball over and were highly penalized. That’s why we lost the football game.

We have a bunch of finesse players on offense. Yards are cheap and easy in todays NF:L but we have zero players that scare teams in the red zone and that includes Brown. The dinking and dunking can result in highlight plays between the 20s but as has been the case for Ben's entire career we get inside the 20s and have no physical mismatch.

Honestly I saw some good things from Jarvis Jones tonight. I think his light is starting to turn on and he has a better understanding of this defense. He played good tonight...one of the few on the defensive side.

IMO the big problem on the defensive side is as was said above we have 4-3 personel DL in a 3-4 Defense with the exception of Keisel who is limited on plays and McCullers who Tomlin doesn't even have enough brains to dress the kid to see if he can handle himself in the starting rotation.

Jarvis Jones is worthless as a pass rusher and can't set the edge. He is OK if he is unblocked and e can run down the line and make a tackle from the backside, that is his entire skill set. Good thing the idiot Tomlin had the Steelers run to the podium with 14 minutes on the clock to draft a player that would have fallen out of the 1st round. I wonder where the guy who ran the pick up tp the podium is, he had a better 40 than the useless Jarvis.

LOL I needed a good laff especially after this debacle.

Excellent point. We have no personnel nor game plan to score in the red zone. As Tape said, our plan is to get the ball to Brown or Bell and have him juke the entire defense into the end zone.

Very good points. Timmons was ******* horrible tonight. Pouncey is vastly overrated as well as the rest of the OL. Blitz them and they look like they've seen bigfoot. They are ******* useless. Especially Gilbert, whom I assume is trying to break the all time sacks given up in a season record.

I've always said that Tomlin was in over his head. I had thought he'd grow into it. Right now it doesn't look good at all. Pathetic performance tonight.

We talked all off season about Worilds. All I heard was how great he was at LOLB. Well that $10M looks well spent right now huh? He's a waste of a roster spot. ******* awful. He can't hold the point. But that's ok because he can't rush the passer either.. so he is awful on two fronts. I don't give a **** about his handful of sacks last year. He sucked last year as well except for a handful of games. **** me.

Two idiots I fought with about Tomlin this week and were so stupid I had to put them on ignore was SteelBuckeyes and SteelerinLebanon, can't wait to hear them make excuses and come suck the idiot Tomlin's dick.

We signed a bad player who can't catch and can't block , Matt Spaeth. Our 2 TE set scares no one as Heath is slooooooowwwwwww and Spaeth is worthless, The Rats have the very good Pitta and then this offseason picked up the very good recin=ving TE, Owen Daniels. In a nutshell it shows the differences in the teams, we love to sin old, useless players to long term contracts with no upsides or real skills, see Larry Foote when we stupidly signed him to a 3 year 9.5 million dollar contract in 2010 after the Lions benched him after he played for only 1.5 million a year for them. Tomlin has slowly sucked the blood out of this franchise and if anyone thinks this moron is smart enough to turn it around enjoy games like tonight, they will be the norm the longer we employ his stupid ***.

I hate hearing Tomlin just chalk up the loss to turnovers and penalties. It's not that they aren't the reasons why the steelers lost, but he talks about them like they are things that just happen out of the blue. Bad luck that's sure to tun around. Like it's a freak of nature.

I sure hope it doesn't rain next week. Hope we don't give away 3 turnovers again. But what can you do?

I wonder how much enjoyment Ravens fans are getting by lurking for a while to enjoy the board meltdown. I bet our owed Ed is having an orgasm now

The 3rd turnover was in mop up time. Here's a clue Tomlin, your teams suck at getting turnovers, of course you bullshit and spew your verbal diarrhea about focusing on creating turnovers, so far zero this year. When are you going to unleash this turnover torrent you stupid sack of **** ?

As long as Tomlin is our head coach. The Rats are 5-2 against the huckster since 2011, he is Harbaugh's little *****.

They shouldn't enjoy it too much. As down as i am on the Steelers right now, i still think they will have a better year than the Ravens.

As poorly as the steeler defense played, and Flacco only had 166 yards. They ran for a 4.4 average which drops down to a 3.3 average if you take out a single 41 yard run late in the game. That's ****. They have zero to be happy about in terms of the prospects of this season.

The steelers showed vs the browns that they can be explosive if they don't do stupid things.

The ravens proved they can score if the refs give them several big calls, and they dominate the LOS, and the opposing defense blows multiple assignments leaving wide open targets. Their defense can be good too so long as the offense has a **** OL and they other team's best player leaves for a long stretch, and they get 3 barely forced turnovers, and the opposing QB misses wide open guys on 3rd downs.

If the ravens get all that each week, they're a force to contend with.

I remember when we used to be the kings of prime time games. I can't even remember the last big emotional win this team had in prime time. i cringed when I saw the schedule this year.

Hey the Steelers fans here wanted Worilds. Now you got him. Woodley that overpaid lazy fat slouch don't look so bad now right? At least
he could play the run and sniff the qb even injured and was a proven commodity. Hell I didn't even know that Worlids played tonight. I had a Panther fan text me after the game and tell me he didn't hear his name called once. Be careful what you wish for.

Going back tho the Clowns game even when we scored 2 big TDs it was on poorly blocked plays when Ben was forced out of the pocket and threw a missile while throwing across his body to Brown and Bell scored on an incredible 38 yard run where there was absolutely no blocking and he made about 8 players miss. Those plays are far less likely on a cosnistent basis than the total domination the Rats shwed tonight and is a recipe for success in the NFL.

I will pray for ben next weekend. Carolina's front 7 is no joke and I'm guessing our OL will look rather....:(...."pedestrian" when they go against them

Yep, plus the Panthers have a great running attack and unlike Flacco Newton will roll out and put pressure on our defense like Hoyer did.

I hated Waste of Spaeth during his first stint in town and I was friggen flabbergasted when they brought his worthless *** back. I simply don't understand it. These guys get paid big money to make awful decisions, and to do it twice on the same guy, unreal.

And I've said this before about Tomlin, to me, it's his make or break year. It's still early, but so far, he's breaking. Those shots of him on the sideline staring off into space while the team implodes around him always drives me up the wall. And least look like you know or care about how bad your team is playing.
