Ravens firing OC Marc Trestman

It's not his fault Flacco is grossly overpaid with limited weapons.

Well, wasn't is Trestman who went for 2 after a TD in the 3rd quarter last week and failed, and then passed up a field goal in the 4th quarter and instead went for it on 4th down and failed, and then gave up a late TD against the Raiders in the same game, to wind up losing 28-27??

Oh, that was Hairball? Never mind.

dude they averaged like 18 points per game under the dude... that doesnt cut it in this day and age

Well the last time they fired their OC in the middle of the season we thought they looked like jokes, but then they went out and won the lowB repuS that year.

Of course that's what led to Flacco being grossly overpaid and now they can't afford to put many decent players around him.

I couldn't believe they were 3-0. Seems a little big in the ******* (so to speak ) after two loses. They don't really have contending talent.

They've done this before too. They must really believe in Flacco over there, probably more than anyone else in the league does

He's good. He isn't great. He is good. He was paid for great on a one year result which I believe he would have been a free agent (and you can see what Osweiler commanded based upon nothing). They had limited choice. Sometimes it just works like that. They were good enough to beat the Steelers twice last year once without him. The Steelers better be ready for that **** this year.

You hit the nail on the head. If you have even a decent qb, you have to keep him. Flacco's no world beater, but I'd take him over every qb the Steelers had between Bradshaw, and Ben. When you look at what about 1/3 of the teams are sending out there, you know the Rats had no choice but to pay him.

It couldn't have been because they have a mediocre QB, best WR is 37 (coming off a torn Achilles), a castoff RB from the Browns, and a TE that hasn't played in 2 years. Also, throw in a below average OLINE.

Ozzie, Harbaugh and Flacco never take the blame....Always the line of OC's, Refs and others teams getting lucky why they lose

The Ravens are not a good team again this year. They are walking the fine line between winning and losing with every team they have played this season. All of their games have been within one score so they can easily be 0-5 as they could be 5-0. They're finding a way to win the close games, which is a plus, but they're also playing terrible talent (excluding the Raiders now as their offense is now entering the elite status). This isn't a team playing down to competition, this is a team that is average at best and playing the rest of the average to below average league. The Giants game will be very tough for them to win this week, and they are very average.

Looking at the Ravens' schedule. They enter the bye in 2 weeks, as do the Steelers, then for their final 9 games, I personally believe only 2 of those games are winnable for them (Dolphins and Browns). They should get whipped by the Bengals and Steelers twice, as well as NE, DAL, and PHI. They may get lucky with another game, but 8-8 is their ceiling, though I feel 6-10 is probably what they are.

He'd look good in black & gold, wasn't used properly, would probably sign for vet minimum.....

Remember Tyler Palko beat him out for the starting job at Pitt so he transferred to Maryland.

Fixed it for ya...

I knew it was down that way somewhere. LOL.

"Daaaaad!!! They're wasting me here. I'm better than these guys." True.

I only know it because Villanova was a client of ours, and I was standing on the field when Flacco drove the Blue hens down the field on the last drive to win it at the end. It was a great game to watch.

Happy he's gone. West had 4 carries for 35 yards in the 2nd half. The Ravens ran a pass play 22 straight times after the 14:30 mark in the 4th quarter.

First quarter: 11 rushes for 74 yards
Second quarter: 2 rushes for 0 yards
Third quarter: 3 rushes for 34 yards
Fourth quarter: 3 rushes (one by Joe Flacco) for 10 yards

West averaged 8.6 per carry, and it was windy enough that we attempted a (******* retarded) fake fg instead of kicking. But throwing 39 times on a windy day, that's ok. **** him.
