Raven, too fat to fish...or practice

It's news when a top 5 DL on our division rival ate himself out of minicamp. Sounds like Big Snack getting chewed out by Cowher and kicked out of practice until he returned to shape. Pierce will get back in shape. It's a contract year.

Jamain Stephens says hi.

Some of these players take so much for granted but didn't we all in that young of life. I haven't "walked" the mile in his shoes so I can't illuminate what is wrong in his head or life but I can say he needs to take a good look in a mirror and decide the route he wants to take. Even if he gives up football I'd want it to be his decision instead of him thinking they kicked him out. Good luck to him getting his shTuff together.

Being a contract year, I would have thought he would have showed up in shape.

Yea, you'd think, but if he loses some lbs, and turns out a good season, no one will care about this. Big Snack always seemed to come in way heavy but he was always great come the season.

It's shaping up to be a very interesting year for the entire AFCN. With Balt., it's gonna be interesting to see:

1.) If they can survive losses on D and maintain a top status.

2.) Keep Jackson progressing in passing game.

3. Get production out of the WRs they added.

I think teams may figure out the QB, and figure out how to stop the O, unless Jackson develops as a legit pocket passer, to some degree. I'm not sure he can. But it will be fun to watch.

Jackson is going to be a bust. After you take his running ability away, I'm not so sure about his arm. Maybe he will prove me wrong. If I was a betting man, though. . .

As far as the OP, did he sit on the couch ALL off-season? Have some pride, you a pro athlete. You can't get on a treadmill a half hour a day or even join Planet Fitness a month or two before OTAs? Come on . . .

Have you ever seen dudes that big eat? It's crazy. And it's like they are almost always starving.

I don't doubt that, but you can't eat and eat and not move or excercise. You'd think his agent would be asking if he is getting ready for the season and see where he is health-wise.

Still trying to ruin the board? This board is named "football only."
It's not named "troll only." So why don't you try staying on topic?

Sigh...Why on Earth do we need input on the Ravens??? Check this topic out - YOU, of ALL PEOPLE, ought to know that you've worn out your welcome.

Don't let the door hit ya - where the Good Lord split ya!!!

I highly doubt the kid walked a mile this off season...

So, more garbage is your offer to the board. If you want to ruin every thread, that's on you. That is your cross to bear.

A important player on a div. rival being too fat to practice IS relevant to this FOOTBALL BOARD.

Your incessant whining is not. You, of all people, should know better.

Jackson is a less accurate Kordell Stewart. It will be hilarious watching them try to make him a pocket passer. Square peg. Round hole...

I'm not sure how much they will try to make more pocket passes, but they are on record for wanting to do more than they have. Like you, I don't see that working out.

But didn't they go 6-1 with Jackson at QB? I believe the state of their D will matter as much as QB play - they lost some key defenders. But they added some. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

If their D returns to being a top notch unit, I will have to be impressed. They are like the 90's - 2005/-2010 Steelers: players came and went but the D remained a force.

Bermudasteel do you prefer a wet jerk marinade or a dry rub? Can’t find anything in Corpus Christi. Should of stocked up in Miami.

It’s funny cause it’s the RatBirds.

Reminds me of one Ernie " arrowhead" Holmes, had to play camp and pre-season at times in a wet suit to get down to weight that allowed him to walk without gettin' gaulded.

They were the #1 D last year, but they made a big mistake by not retaining CJ Mosley. Another HUGE factor why the Steelers traded up. They didn't want the Ravens to get Bush. Excellent move. I don't see the Ravens being #1 next year, but they are still a top 10 D without Mosley. That alone will make them competitive.

They did have a great early record with Jackson, then teams starting selling out on the run and daring him to beat them with his arm, as we did in Baltimore. He couldn't and was exposed in the playoffs.
