The Setup:
Brady is 38 as of august, Ben just turned 33.
That's a five year difference.
brady has 53, 258 yards passing. Ben has 39 057,
that's a 14,201 difference
Divided by 5 means he would have to average 2840 yards per year to catch him at the same point in his career.
If Ben were to have three more seasons like last year he would catch him in 3 years

The factors unknown are the retirement age for each of these guys and the injury factors...

Ben has been at a disadvantage, he didn't get to use videotapes and deflated footballs.

Also didn't have the luxury of an amazing offensive line and system for the majority of his career, even if you disregard the cheating.

Well Ben is just a game manager.

Fasten yo seatbelts, Ben's about to light this mutha up!

Ben's just looking DTF girls. To hell with records and such.

Salute the nation

Ben.

Ben will. He has more weapons plus Brady will be suspended a few games.

Now that Ben is taking fewer stupid hits I'm going with the non-cheater.

Who gets to finish with out an asterisk.

Now you see, when you put **** in context like this you get an opportunity to realize just how special Roethlisberger really is behind that line he's played behind for the majority of his career.

Most people put Brady up in some echelon of God-hood (since they absolutely refuse to consider that the ******* has been cheating since day one!) When you consider that Roethlisberger is within striking distance on what has been until the last few years a predominantly run-first team with a historically mediocre offensive line you've got to respect what he's done over his career.

The dude is special.

Brady is hard for me to quantify outside of the cheating. I have no respect for the pats** nor Brady. Hopefully Ben can play many more years.

That's exactly it. There's no knowing HOW good T*m Br*dy is. You just can't begin to figure out where his ability begins and the cheating ends or vice versa.

lets look Brady 12 games Max
Ben hopefully another 16

Brady will throw for 4,000 for at least another 4 years giving him around 70,000 yards, don;t think Ben throws for 31,000 more yards as he will go downhill fast as he ages due to his playing style.

Ben is a pocket passer now.

Incredibly doubtful... do you realize how few QBs played at all at 40 or over, and the vast majority of them were backups by the end

that is not a long list, and Brady's arm has already gotten progressively worse since 2011. The pats have been masking it with the run game of late... if he misses 4 games, with the rate he has been falling off, he wont break 3k this year... he should get around 3500ish the year after. if he plays longer than that expect a larger drop and a backup role... his arm strength is decaying far faster than Peytons did

Nice list but the game has changed, look at the numbers Peyton is putting up with a much weaker arm than Brady's. Brady is playing much better now than he did earlier in his career and his numbers reflect that. He will not miss more than 2 games this year and there is a very good possibility he gets the suspension overturned .

Brady has averaged 7 yard per attempt the past two years. His yardage totals last year were the second lowest since 06 not counting the season he missed... since 11 he has averaged a 300+ yardage drop per season. he is 38 in august... face it he will be done in two to three years. ben will not last till he is 40, but he should have four to five more good years, and his arm is far closer to favres than brady's was... last year there were tons of articles about Brady losing the deep ball... his stats in that area were amoung the worse in the league. he is on the downturn for certain

The deep ball will be back Belicheat and his minions are working on a way to provide auxiliary power to the footballs with a guidance system as we speak. They have eliminated the propellers and instead are focusing on small jets as the blades were tough on the receivers hands. Once the bugs are worked out it should keep brady* passing the ball till he is ready for a wheel chair.
