Rams Release Gurley

Yep but he is well connected to the rams and he NFL in general.

This just makes me happy that Bell turned down the Steelers offer and went awol. Was the offer in the top 2 paid backs of the league at that time? It’s being proven that too much money tied up in a back is not good for the old salary cap.

cowherd is a jackass

Exactly. How does he still have an audience?

Sign him for 1 year. McVey said he should have given him more carries. He may not have 25 carries a game in him anymore, but spit him with Connor. 15 or so carries apiece, with Snell as insurance.

Cowherd is pretty entertaining. He's been pro Steelers a lot over the past year, which is even better. He's got connections and breaks some news.

He walks away with a boatload of money and little production. Absolutely stupid to pay these guaranteed contracts.

On the Colin Cowherd show today Colin who is very connected to the Rams said Gurle was a cancer in the locker room and the team couldn;t wait to get rid of him. Said the money went to his head and he is a shot back. This is supported by the 13 million the Rams eat in cap space this year, the 12 million in 21, the 13 million in 22 and the 11 they eat in 23. That is 59 million in cap space they could not even trade him for 7th round pick to help offset the cap hits thats how bad they wanted him gone.

Those numbers don't work out for guarantees. His guarantees came with stipulations, i/e being rostered on certain dates, which he now is not.

For what I see with his numbers, the Rams should be on the hook this season for the remaining pro rated portion of his signing bonus of $16.8M Not sure if that is spread out over 1 years or not.

Here's a look at his contact if interested:

Looks like the Falcons are trying to sign him
