Aloha, Steeler Nation! I'm back from the islands and back to work. Fortunately I did 6 articles before I left, so you could get a steady drip while I was enjoying some well needed R&R.

Looks like Simmons is on the docket this week for the podcast.

Anyone have any questions the'd like to hear answered from him?

Cope, thanks for your time in doing this. I like listening and YES, you run a pretty good interview.

1). Kendal, how tightly knit was the "locker room" at your time with the STEELERS ?

2). Through out your entire football career, who would you say was the most influential person in regards to life after football

3). Kendal, not to put you on the spot but what do you think of the disciplinary way the league has handled these two incidences...........
.......A) the Antonio Brown saga
.......B) the Miles Garett ordeal

Thanks Cope and have a great time in this.

Salute the nation

We always hear about Alan Faneca's block on Willie Parker's record setting 75-yard touchdown run in the Super Bowl. However, you had a good block yourself opening up the hole. What was that experience like for you at the time and how does it feel watching replays of it today?

I know in your post playing days you've been very involved on what it is like to live with diabetes. What type of impact have you been able to make?

You were diagnosed with diabetes during your playing career. Can you touch on having to deal with that while playing football?

This man overcame an extraordinary set of circumstances playing professional sports with a severe case of diabetes. How did diabetes impact his ability to train as a professional athlete and also his performance during games?

Cope, please read this so you have more background on his diabetes: https://beyondtype1.org/kendall-simmons-and-his-t1d-diagnosis-in-the-nfl/

Another question for him: What's it like blocking for a Hall of Fame running back (Jerome Bettis)?

Does he have a favorite in game block, saving the QB from a sack or opening up a huge running lane?

What was his favorite play as an offensive lineman?

Which opposing player did he like hitting and also NOT like blocking against?
