Am I the only one who knows EXACTLY when Ben is going to snap the ball? The QB cadence should be an advantage for the offense especially at home. If I know when it’s coming the defense has to know too. I don’t know who is to blame but this has been going on for a long time. Just something else I don’t understand about this team. It may seem small but over the course of a game I think it’s pretty important.

Haven't you realized that our coaching staff don't take time to teach fundamentals???????? One thing I noticed is they are way better at snapping before the play clock determines the snap for them. This is ONLY when in the "muddle huddle" or hurry up as some call it.

My favorite is the "fake snap" with like 10 seconds to go on the play clock. I don't think I've ever seen anyone jump offsides on that and they've never actually snapped the ball at that point (aside from the hurry up). Sometimes the D won't even be set but Ben still does the fake hard count in shotgun and waits for the D to get set then snaps it with 1-2 seconds left every time. I know he's trying to read the D but damn, change it up a every once in a while or try to catch them off guard.

With Haley gone, how about next season just run no huddle 100% of the time and let Ben do his backyard thing he's best at? I wish I could find stats on our offense this season when they huddled vs when running the hurry up. I'd bet the house it's night and day.

The idea is to have the defense focus on the cadence and become conditioned to moving at a certain time, and then change it up to draw them offsides, preferably on a 3rd or 4th down and 5 or less.

Not much of an advantage “knowing” when the ball is going to be snapped unless you want to risk a Polamalu jump over and then your timing better be perfect (and you better be right about the snap count).

I think the Polamalu leap got outlawed.
I wish he would have lined up over Center more often and leaped onto a few QBs.
Imagine Marsha shaking....

What about on a fourth and say........1 ???

Sometimes, actually a lot of times in a standard huddle it is VERY easy to predict the snap. Also the play isn't to far behind. When they line in a certain set it is very easy to determine the play before snap.

For a while I thought we were the only team that had the LG (Foster) tap the center when the QB was ready for the ball to be snapped. This season I've noticed a lot of other teams do this too, particularly in loud, hostile stadiums.

For years we've been setting everyone up for a quick snap QB sneak. The situation just hasn't presented itself.
