That was two years ago wasn't it? And I think everybody but Pryor knew his best shot in the NFL was as a WR or TE. Sooooo, cue the standard "Bring him in. He wasn't used correctly .........". But seriously, I would bring him in just to see if he can catch.

6'4" and ran a 4.4 so worth a look for some team with weak WRs. Not us.

I remember a conversation I had with a well-known area sports agent who I'm buds with at the time Pryor was coming out. He had his issues and the whole OSU program had a couple of scandals going at the time, and I recall the words "not with" and "ten foot pole" being mentioned.

Doesn't cost much to bring a guy in amnd take a looksie. Doubt we'll see anything impressive, but still I'd bring him in.

He has pretty good straight line speed but i don't think he's very agile or quick. That means he'd have to be a deep threat or a redzone specialist which means he'd need good ball skills to bring down contested passes.

It's worth a try but it's not as easy as just putting a tall guy out there and throw it up to him. If that was the case, just invite a handful of basketball players who don't get drafted in the NBA.

Te yes hybrid wr we are stocked there

Blocking may be the issue with Prior. If he can't block he's not worth the time. To play TE for the Steelers he better know how to lay someone out.

I'd bring him in to kick the tires. Have a workout at TE then see what type of contract he wants. If it's minimum guaranteed money why not get him into camp. Remember he was a top prospect in basketball also and we all know the successes with Gates, Graham, and Thomas converting to TE.

as a straight "go" TE, maybe an interesting project.

I was recently told (to paraphrase): "The Steelers don't have a "go/move" TE. The Steelers have never had a "go/move" TE (wrong). And "the Steelers don't need no stinkin "go/move" TE".

I am surprised more teams did not give him a look. I did not think he wall all that bad. I thought he was having an OK year till he got whacked in the head. After that it did not seem like he had much of a chance anywhere. I am not a big fan of pryor myself, but I thought he could at least be a decent backup QB.

FlUCK, you giving up on LANDY?????????? Prior isn't going to surplant anybody (starter) on the steelers. To play tight end, he will have a major learning curve, time to develope, ect... If he don't impress right away in his work out, he's sent packing. we have way better current propspecgts than him. Work him out, if impressive, then go from there. Don't expect top prospect as he would be snatched up immeadiately.

He's an attitude problem wrapped in a football player's body. Maybe the diet of humble pie the last two years has helped. It may have sunk in that he's not dominating people in the NFL and going to the Pro Bowl every year.

He might be worth something if he could run as fast as Richard Prior when he set himself on fire. There's some things that a name like that cane cause you problems with.

Should be the case, but then again, Kordell Stewart is waiting for that call from Canton.

What, he didn't light it up later when he played for the Bears?

Lets not say no, lets say HELL NO:cool:

And that does not mean I am giving up on laundry because I already Gave up on Laundry. Hell somebody is still trying to teach him how to throw the damn ball from the reports from practice, let me quote that legend Bubby Brister " throw like a damn girl".
