Beach was down a looong time with little to no movement. Looked like he tweaked his leg, but may be more of a neck injury. Hate to see guys stay down that long, damn.
A bad day for Jacksonville hasn’t gotten any better in the second half.
The Chargers show no signs of blowing another lead after building a 21-0 halftime edge into a 35-point lead through three quarters and now the Jaguars have seen their left tackle carted off the field.
Kelvin Beachum appeared to get kicked in the head during a play late in the third quarter and remained down on the ground at the end of the play. Medical personnel came to his side and Beachum was strapped to a back board before being put on the back of a cart to exit the game.
It’s the second scene like that during Sunday’s games. Saints cornerback P.J. Williams also needed to be immobilized after taking a blow to the head. He has been diagnosed with a concussion, but appears to have avoided any spinal damage.
Jaguars LT Kelvin Beachum was carted off the field with an apparent head or neck injury Week 2 against the Chargers. Beachum took a knee to the helmet while falling late in the third quarter. He was immobilized on a backboard on the field before being carted off. He was taken to a waiting ambulance outside of the stadium and transferred to a hospital.
It appears he got knocked out, which, if he doesn't keep getting dinged, is actually better news than blowing an ACL, which is what I thought it was at first.
