He, just as BEN are team players as they get ti. He, also like BEN will be gone soon so not just a replacement QB but also a replacement center is needed.

He has said on several occasions that he's retiring when Ben retires.
They're walking out together.

Pouncey needs to have a big bounce back year. He struggled snapping last year big time.

Could it be that no Big Ben affected him?

Pouncey is key to a serious run.

Did we ever get an explanation for it? I don't know if any reporters asked Pouncey or the coaches and I didn't see any former NFL offensive linemen who now study film comment on it either.

He could have been just playing through an injury but this was something we saw all year. High and low snaps when in shotgun formation. Thought he regressed as a snapper last season. We will see if it gets better this year. Could be playing with 3 different QBs in the same year but the target should always be the QBs belly.

Maybe it was just our imagination............................................. J/K

I thought one of the O'l linemen had a segment on it but don't remember who, it was just a blip. I kept notice after the games to see if there would be anyone to ask him about it but never saw anything. I think he was just worried about the huge wall of rushing defenders coming in on him...every down and was just hurrying the snap a tad...

I noticed over the last few years that most centers, NFL and college, changed how they snap in shotgun. They always used to grip the ball almost like a QB does to throw, with the ball flat on the ground and their palm on the middle of the ball. Now most Centers hold the back point of the ball and the front point of the ball touches the ground. Then they just kind of flip it backwards instead of the normal snap.

This allows the C to sit more upright pre snap and look over the defense and be quicker into a pass set. It basically allows the C to be in a 2 point stance like to other OL in pass situations.

I wonder if that is why Pouncey is struggling. He’s snapping differently than how he did most of his life.

Has anybody else noticed this with the snaps in college and pro?
