The NFL is trending towards something between arena league and flag football. The game is 89% offense so that's where the money goes. Why pay for a D when they can't hit a QB, or tackle too hard, or try to dislodge the ball from a potential receiver?
In today's NFL you basically just need a few TOs because consistently stopping your opponent won't happen. Go out there and score a bunch and hope the D can get a few TOs, thanks Roger.
