Peyton Manning sack-slide?

Two issues:
1. No whistle by a deaf, dumb and blind officiating crew that missed critical blatant offensive holding calls even face mask yanks by the Orange Elways O lineman not to mention Talib's pass interference in the end zone that gets called every other game on a Sunday.
2. When Manning flopped the Defense in anticipation of the whistle that should have blown, let up.
In that split second, Manning knowing he caught a break sprung up and completed a pass. Give the old fart credit for being smarter than everybody else.
In the end the scoreboard is the decider. I'm thinking after 50+ minutes of an improbable upset, Red Baron Roger made a call that said: "Enough drama, he has a turnover, he's getting ring before he quits"
Just MHO

It's absolutely true though. Had any Steeler player drilled him as he got up, they'd have been penalized for 15 INSTANTLY! Then the play would have been over. You can bet on it.

Just sad.

That is the exact call we got in that situation all year long with Bryant. CB's were a loud to physically man up on him and get away with a lot of contact. Bryant hopefully grows into a jump ball WR and learns to attack the ball at it's highest point. Or something like that I hope.

He was nowhere near any OL.

you mean no where near that OL that was pushing Will Allen past him?

It looked to me like Manning slipped...I didn't think he intended to slide because he was going around the OL and his feet left him. It could have gone either way, but I wasn't bothered by the call at all. Minority opinion, I know...

You can see in the replay that he re-positioned his body to lead feet/legs first like it was a slide. Even though the whistle didn't blow, the officials should have convened and called him down where he started his slide. That is the letter of the rule.
