I apologize in advance for another Pat*s thread but I didn't want this to be buried in the 30 pages of the other thread.

In essence, this article illustrates that prior to Brady's lobbying for the ball rule change in 2006, the Pat*s were middle of the road when it came to fumbles per touch vs. the rest of non-dome teams. Post rule change, they became an extreme outlier in having the least amount of fumbles per touch BY FAR every year following 2006 (except for 2013 but that is explained). For the naysayer's, he even posts his Excel Spreadsheet at the bottom so anyone can verify the data.

Bring out the scientists to explain this one.

i'm sure that's a coincidence too, and Belicheat is a genius, he coached them up between 06 and 07 to not fumble. I think I heard they didn't have a single fumble at home this season either.

they are just better than everyone else..

yeah -- they will have an excuse for everything -- but to me it leads me to believe that they have been using deflated footballs since then - that is why Marcia can say that he couldn't tell a difference in the way the ball felt .. it is always 2 lbs less than regulation.

They practice with the worst footballs they can find (over-inflated etc.) and then use "enhanced" balls in the real game.

Obviously the rogue employee was hired prior to the 2007 season

He's been there for about 15 years. That comes from Josh Miller (our former punter who played for the Pats) on his morning show on 93.7 FM here.

Where is Doc and Del to set us straight?

then he was promoted prior to 2007

I haven't listened to the morning show in awhile -- what does Josh have to say on the matter ?

He thinks Kraft legitimately knows nothing and believes what Bill and Tom are telling him. But he thinks they've probably been using illegal balls for quite awhile, and what more than likely happened was a conversation between Brady and the ball boy (who is ~ 37 years old) several years ago ("by the way, ball boy, I'm a QB who really likes a ball that's a little bit soft...)

I said before I didn't count any of his super bowl wins as actual super bowl wins and after this I am not counting any of the Cheatriots wins since Belicheat took over. I know the league will wash their hands of it and there will be no * next to the cheatriots but in my book and when I speak about them I say they never won a super bowl and any win they have are tainted.

When does the ball boy end up floating in a river.

Depends if Belicheat replaced Aaron Hernandez's spot on the team.

This is actually a good idea. Over-inflate your practice footballs and inflate them to the lowest threshold for games. Just like practicing for parallel parking with a big car then using a small car for the test.
