Our best five rookies this pre-season in my opinion.
1 ) Thomas. Lead the team in tackles ( 25 ) , and had a play where he soloed a sack, which turned into a return score. Thomas was also solid in coverage as well, a major flaw on the Steelers at inside linebacker. Looked to be an asset on kick coverage as well.
2 ) Washington. He turns 50/50 passes into 90/10 conversations. A red zone threat. A bit of a one trick pony so far, but as a #3WR, we’ve got the mismatch card to play. Injures held him back a bit.
3 ) Edmunds. He made some big plays and gave up some plays. But most importantly he flashed big time talent.
4 ) Rudolph. 90.6 QB rating. 3 TD, 1 INT. 54.5% ( with a few drops ). Needs to do a better job avoiding sacks. Didn’t play with good talent around him often. Shined in some of the camp practices and flashed skills in some games.
5 ) Adeniyi. 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble. Could make the team as a situational pass rusher.
Honorable mention: Samules, Hooks, Patterson.
