Dri Archer holding a roster spot drove me nuts. Now I'm down to Uncle Jarvis and the hitch screen. Jarvis got a fumble recovery but he was just brutal again. I don't mind the sugar hot route screen where Ben just quick snaps and puts it in the receivers hands for 5 or 6 yards. But the setup one is so brutal. And it is like they feel they have to run it 4-6 times. Like it is a schedule

Jarvis showed some signs early in the season but the last few games he has become almost non-existent out there. If he keeps playing this way, I can't see them keeping him next year other than as a backup and at reduced pay.

Jarvis will not get a second contract and will play out his rookie contract. We'll be drafting another OLB high next year, or picking up a pass rusher in FA.

Arizona will snap him up before Cleveland does.................they've had Clark Haggins,,Peezy, tried for Keisel two years ago, now they have Woodley on the roster....they wont pass up a shot or invite to Jarvis provided he passes a physical and has no off-field issues

I agree with Cope on this one. Uncle Jarvis will not see a second contract just like Hood didn't. That way he will quietly be exited out of the Steelers' plans with his replacement coming in either the 2016 or 2017 draft since I believe 2017 his rookie contract would be up.

The no second contract isn't good enough. Hood wasn't this bad. Not by a mile. This guy is playing the premier position on this defense. We are talking about Porter, Harrison, Lloyd. This guy couldn't carry Gildon's jock much less one of those guys. Addition by subtraction. Get his sorry *** off of the roster along with the stupid hitch screen.

Better decline that option on Jarvis.

Was browsing stats on PFF earlier and noticed that Jarvis leads all 3-4 OLBs in missed tackles (MT) and also MT/tackle and MT/snap.

Who's going to be the most disappointing Jones at the end of the year, Landry, Jacoby or Jar Jar? Landry may be taking himself out of the running.

Definitely Jar-Jar. Was Jacoby even drafted? Could be wrong, but I thought he came into the league as an undrafted FA. . . ?

Edit: I checked, he was drafted. Third-rounder in 2007. Still, Jar-Jar's 1st rd slot trumps a 3rd-rounder.

This ----^
They won't waste the dead money against the cap but they won't offer him a second contract. Or be like Jason Worilds and thinks his value is a lot more than the rest of the NFL does.

Wow!
:(
Wish the guy would've panned out

Me too. =/

On the bright side, Harrison and Dupree each have one missed tackle and Harrison is 5th in the league in Pass Rushing Productivity (combining sacks, hits, and hurries relative to pass rush attempts). Harrison is only behind Pernell McPhee and the Denver OLBs (Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware, Shaquil Barrett). Of 47 OLBs, the other PIT LBs sit at 14 Moats, 36 Jarvis, 37 Dupree.

Bruce Irvin from Seattle. That's the guys they should try and sign. I know the FO liked him. Seattle will prob not resign him. Not a great scheme fit.
