Olbermann Out at ESPN

I don't mind Greenberg, but I'm with you on Cowherd. Biggest Patriot ***-kisser in the world.

The only time I watch ESPN anymore is when there is actually a game on. Even then, I have a hard time. The nut hugging with the Patriots, Tiger Woods and the Yankees is sickening.

Well this is some welcome news to wake up to!

So long Keith, you leftist piece of garbage, please leave television for good this time!

I've boycotted espn the second I found out that Bruce Jenner cuts his junk off and wears a dress and wins the Arthur Ashe courage award. I actually have seen it looks like ABC will be airing the show and now will no longer watch ABC either. Lauren Hill deserved that award and the fact they used this award to push the liberal agenda makes me sick. **** espn **** abc I have the internet for sports news and Netflix for tv.

Good ridenceand bye bye.......... FlUCKjack.

Salute the nation

What took them so long!

ESPN had some good men, unfortunately some of them are dead ( Dick Schapp and Stuart Scott ) and others have not been cool since the 1980's ( Berman )

Now if Bob Costas would get fired from NBC NFLNETWORK ETC I'd be happy.

ESPN will be trimming a lot of fat given the high cost of broadcasting live games. First it was Simmons and then Olbermann. There is some talk that Cowherd wants to change gears and get out of sports. If ESPN really wants to improve its quality and save money, they'd dump Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless, who add absolutely nothing valuable to that station.

The only ESPN I watch is ESPN 8, the Ocho.

A-MEN! It was bad enough to have to deal with that little weasel watching the Olympics every 4 years, but nowadays we have to listen to him lecture us during halftimes of Sunday Night Football Games. Piss off, Bob!

Amen to that.

Both are ******* terrible.

I think the point of the Smith and Bayless team is to make the casual fan happy as they know as much or more. Sort of like celebrity Jeopardy.

While Stephen A Smith has a few chips on this shoulder ( He is a Steeler fan ), Bayless is playing the role of a professional A-hole. Off the set, I have heard Bayless is really a good guy.

Stephen A. is not a guy I want associated with the Steelers in any way. Much worse than Skip.

The only time I watch espn is when they are broadcasting a steeler game or the draft.

. . . and let's not forget the always-sanctimonious rick reilly, while we're at it :puke2:

A lot of you guys must have short memories. Olberman got the axe for calling out the NFL in the Ray Rice scandal, the Adrian Peterson Scandal, and publicly demanded more than once that Goodell should be fired. Say what you want about the guy, but he wasn't afraid to bite the hand that fed him, and it's why he won't be back.

As for Greenberg, I find Mike & Mike unlistenable due to him. He has no character, no charisma, and is more interested in getting in and out of breaks, and working in his ads, than providing content. If I was Golic, I would have punched him in the face by now, due to the forced tough guy vs geeky guy schtick they try to play off as genuine.

Cowherd is polarizing, like Rome is. But just like Rome, Colin is concise, has strong well executed opinions, and makes excellent real world associations when it comes to relating sports to everyday life. You may not like the guys opinions against the Steelers, but I've also heard him praise the Steelers family run organization, commitment to their coaches and staff, and Big Ben's ability to QB. I'd rather listen to someone with opinions (even if I don't agree with them), then listen to Greenberg drone on about the Jests...

ESPN has plenty of people who said mean things about Goodell in recent years. Olbermann is gone because nobody watches his show. Same reason he's been fired from his other jobs. He's a hack.

The problem with Cowherd is his opinions are not genuine. I used to like him at first but the more i listened, he revealed himself to be a guy who plays both sides so he can always declare himself right. The biggest example is when he spent a whole season bashing Aaron Rodgers and saying he was not an elite QB. Then Rodgers won the Super Bowl and Cowherd acted like he was a big fan of Rodgers and his audience was just too dumb to pick up on it.

Once you recognize his game, you will notice that Cowherd will always, always, stick in a quick line that totally contradicts his whole rant so that at a later date he can claim he was right no matter what happened.

I had the same issues with Cowherd. He tries to come across as a straight talker that makes every day analogies between football and every day life. The truth is that he plays both sides and his analogies are strained and not as clever as he thinks. I haven't heard him very often but what few times I have I was shocked people listened to him. He is also a die hard pats** fan who loves Brady, Belicheat, and Kraft. He's a huge suck up.

Cowherd throws **** against a wall, and sometimes it sticks. Sometimes he says things that make sense. Most times, he tries to draw the most ridiculous parallels that just make him sound like a know-it-all-jackass up to his eyeballs in bullshit, that doesnt compel me to keep listening. And yes, agreed, Greenberg is atrocious, he is huge tool bag, Golic too.
