ohhhhh-hoh-hoh-hoh-shiiiiiiiiiit. . . . .

That deadline is long gone is it not?

NFL. The National Football League's deadline is the Tuesday following the eighth week (formerly sixth) of the regular season. Usually, there is fairly little activity on this day and almost no star players are ever dealt to other clubs on the sixth week of the season.

Restructure? I thought he was only signed through this year. They better no have extended him. The dude is totally unreliable.

That ******* sucks. I don't want to restructure McDonald, he had a dump at any time contract that cost us 0 in dead money. I'm pissed the Steelers restructured, because now they have dead money if they release him in the next 2 years.

Bell can not be signed long term. The deadline was before training camp. He will be a free agent or get QB money with his 3rd tag.

Kind of interesting. Who are they freeing up money for at this point?

Well if it was SUNDAY I'd guess Mack. Pipe dream I'm sure but Kevin has sore knees so maybe he took my advice..........

PS........ I'm with Cope on this restructuring bullshit and dead money down the line. This means we keep him regardless of injury time missed. NO high draft TE either.

$2M in dead money if released next year, $1M the year after.

Perhaps they created space for the Bell/Mack trade, since they need the room to sign Mack long term?

I was thinking/hoping the same exact same thing. Get it done Colbert!!!!

If it means getting Mack I am all for it.....Cope has me hoping once more. I never thought we would have signed Haden last season. This trade makes to much sense for it to happen probably.

would absolutely love a mack for Bell trade. just cant see it happenening

Free up some space for potential additions after cuts or in-season signings due to injury.

The Steelers aren't getting Mack. Gezz. Steelers were freeing up extra money to resign Bos, Vince and give them 3mil to head into the season with as they always do. He probably did this last week prior to the extensions for those guys.

They were already at $3.5M before the restructure. Now they will be at $5.5M. Move Bell and you're at $20M.

Plus cutting down to 53 usually cuts the cap number a bit.

And if we are wrong we are wrong.

But you would think there is some reason even if it isn't Mack.

We could use a ILB /OLB/TE/WR.

one can dream. . .

To trade for Bell or Mack both teams would have of had to have coversations and come to agreements on long term deals. No trades can happen without that happening first

They can just roll over any unused part of cap space they don't spend. Even if McDonald now has dead money if he's cut next summer it's really not that big of a deal.
Especially if they don't spend it.
