but who is a guy you want later in the draft....a guy you've watched who you think would be a good fit.....

I've already been pimping my UH guys WR Steven Dunbar and S Terrell Williams....

so you're all likely tired of them...so those bitching about UH guys, post someone you want the Steelers to pick.....and give your analysis of them

Dunbar has good size (UH has him at 6-3 202 so he is likely just over 6-1) He high points the ball well and wins most contested balls. He uses his hands whenever possible and rarely drops the ball....He has good speed (waiting on UH pro day on March 29th for an accurate 40 time) he seems to take a bit to hit full speed but has shown the ability to get open deep and scares DBs enough that faking the go route and stopping for a wide open 10-15 yard pass was a big part of the UH offense when they had man coverage. I don't think he has elite agility, but has enough to make guys miss and will fight for extra yards. He is a more than capable blocker downfield or on running plays his way.

now who do you have?

I’m not against us drafting a linebacker in the first round, but seeing the glaring hole left in the defense after Shazier was injured, I don’t think that is a position that the Steelers should be filling with a rookie. In my opinion, this team has a two year window to try to win another Super Bowl before #7 hangs ‘em up. I think free agency is the way to go here.

I’ll give a list of projected 6th, 7th or UDFA players I like at each position.

QB- Riley Ferguson Memphis
I doubt we go QB early and Dobbs and Landry need some competition. Ferguson had a ride at Tennessee but unexpectedly left school. Gave it a go a year later going the JUCO route until he landed at Memphis. Pros- above average arm, nice footwork and delivery. Nice ball placement gives the receiver a shot at YAC. Goes through progressions well. If he scrambles keeps his eyes down field and will quickly square up and unload the ball.
Cons- needs some more bulk. Does he love football? Played in the shotgun and will need work under center.
RB- Chase Edmonds Fordham
Pros- Edmonds has quick feet, good center of gravity, decent hands, and enough long speed. Thickly built with good leg development.
Cons- Injury concerns, level of competition, needs to learn pass protection.
WR- Justin Watson Penn
Pros- nice size, runs a complete route tree, sells his route, hand catcher, quick feet.
Cons- long speed is questionable, level of competition, ability to separate at the nfl level.
WR- Quadree Henderson Pitt
Pros- elite elusiveness, minimal wasted movement, quick feet and long speed.
Cons- position? Well built but only 5-8. Production besides returning.
TE- Tyler Conklin Central Michigan
Pros- Hand catcher, high points ball, exceptional body placement, good speed and size.
Cons- Foot injury, blocking ability, level of competition.
OT- David Bright Stanford
Pros- smart, can play all five spots, long, good technique
Cons- Not a mauler, body frame is probably maxed out, not a lot of sand in his pants, not a natural knee bender
DT- Foley Fatukasi UConn
Pros- Forceful, powerful, has sand in his pants, good movement for a big man, productive
Cons- level of competition, technique, doesn’t shed double teams well
OLB- Anthony Winbush Ball St
Pros- nice first step, sets up his blocker, has an outside dip and inside pass move, used hands well
Cons- size, top end speed, level of competition
ILB Andre Smith UNC
Pros- Fast, strong, hits like a truck, production, can take on a blocker and fight through, hits the hole quickly, works through garbage well, when tackles knocks the RB backwards, has coverage ability
Cons- coming off injury, size, can he cover the Gronks of the NFL
CB- Taron Johnson Weber St.
Pros- Good hands as a former WR, nice back pedal with hips to transition, plays the ball not just the man, aggressive, production
Cons- grabby, smallish size, level of competition
S- Natrell Jamerson Wisconsin
Pros- Fast, breaks on the ball, good hands as a former WR, better tackler than expected, special teams ace, can blitz
Cons- still makes mental mistakes as he’s still a work in progress, not the biggest safety you’ll see, willing run support but might be a liability in the box

John Kelly, RB, Tennessee

flying under the radar, but his game is very similar to Alvin Kamara's. The fact that there's not a lot of talk about him could be beneficial. He literally wasn't used the way he should have been at UT since Butch Jones is one chromosome away from elevating to mongoloid status. Same Butch Jones who didn't believe Kamara was that good and didn't consider the complaints of his entire offense a few years ago - most notably Jalen Hurd.

Terrell Williams S - UH Good size 6-4 212....good speed, reliable tackler, 66 tackles 4 Int and 6 passes defended as a Senior. Plays well in zone and has the ability to cover man to man. A junior college transfer, he saw playing time in most of the games as a junior but didn't earn the starting spot until last season. Once season of play, is hard to judge his improvement. Love his size though and well worth a late round pick....

damn those are ugly uniforms

Maybe be a little short...right at 6 foot...good solid tackler, 110 total tackles last season with 3 forced fumbles capable to cover downfield, but does not excel at it....smart kid, played his senior year while earning is Masters degree.

Bo Scarbrough... can’t belive I’m pimping a bama back but bo at 6-1 228 and a solid 4.5 is the kind of back munch can work wonders with. Like bell he’s an Eddie George type back. I, like many, believe the secret, if you want to call it that, to the sucess of our running game is munch not bell. Bells good but I think if we don’t move him this year we probably will next year and scarbrough would be a good replacement considering he’ll go in the lower rounds. Go steeellllersssss!

One day I was looking at the SPARQ rankings of 2017/2018. I saw Bo was up there in his rankings. Perhaps not the sole reason to draft a prospect. As I have seen success at positions, high and low in comparison. Still was one more thing to add to the woodpile.
