OK, is it just me who's wondering why we are becoming an advertising site for DK?

Most of the interesting topics are DKPittsburgh Sports. Why are we putting so many articles behind a paywall?

I would imagine DK is paying to post his stuff here. His site is a paid site. They routinely run sales for subscriptions for the site. I want to say I got a year for $9.99. Great value to be able to read good content

This. If I recall correctly Justin said this awhile back when they came aboard. People were like “why the multiple threads” on same thing something like that I think

We have teamed up with DK's web site allowing their stories to be posted here in real time when they're published. There is a stickied thread up at the top that tells more about the partnership.

DK offers us videos, and quotes for our writers to use since we can't be there in person at practice or camp. He's also done a spot on our Podcast.

Again, $20 (SN gets $10) for a 12 month subscription is very much affordable and if you love the Steelers you should check it out. Especially for the out of town folk. We know that breaking news is always posted here as soon as it happens. Just the way it is with social media. Information is out there NOW. But DK and his staff offer awesome quotes and analysis and even some inside information that comes out on Fridays.

I keep meaning to do this but forgetting... thanks for the reminder

I just wish there was a way to merge the constant same-subject multiple threads that have cluttered up the board over the past few months.

What happens is:

1. SN member starts a thread on some breaking news or relevant Steelers matter
2. An hour later a new SN thread is started linking to an SN article on same topic
3. An hour and a half later a new DK thread gets posted on same topic.

Now we have three threads on the same topic, and the conversation gets splintered up between the threads which pretty much ***** up the flow of a messageboard.

Not complaining, just pointing it out. Perhaps there's an easy workaround which would significanlty clean up the board and focus the conversation among members, to the benefit of all.

Perhaps a mod (if the powers that be decides) merge all into the DK thread still promoting them while cleaning up the clutter?

I hear yaz but thought we needed all the participants stated.

I agree with everything stated. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do with it yet. Wish there was a way it only posted certain DK posts but there is no way to filter it at the moment.

Mods should merge the posts that way you still get the advertising from DK, others can see the article if they pay for the site and the rest of us can talk **** about the topic.

unless I'm wrong, when we merge the threads the first one posted is the one that stays on the forum and the others merge into it so unless DK is first, his threads would just be part of the noise in threads started by others.....

and as I posted earlier

our mods suck

I think he means merging all of DKs threads with DK threads that have similar topics. Since they usually have multiple posts about certain games, or such.

No way to merge the clone ones into the DK thread? Is that have something to do with how the site is configured? Because Tomlin obviously you don't want the DK one buried/not viewable.

Can you get it to post only one new Coach thread per week? That would be nice.
