So I guess the call that decided the game has created controversy. I think it shows the double standard the NFL created by rarely ever calling offensive pass interference for years. If the defender does the same thing to Smith I bet nobody questions the PI call. PI goes both ways and there should be no difference interpreting it. I don't think most fans understand that.

No doubt that Smith had grabbed him. Still, surprised it was called. I was sure Jump Ball Joe had gotten another call.

Offensive PI is epidemic in the league, as is holding and Illegal pick plays... they add offense so they are rarely called. Ratbird recievers have been using the push off for years. Not at all sad to see them lose a game on the call...

Personally, I'm really glad they are calling that more. It's the least they can do since they've slowly neutered defenses for the last several years.

Smith gave the defender's jersey a pull to keep his momentum going forward. It was a pretty ninja move but guilty nonetheless. Great call.

I am too, but that it went on for years before the NFL noticed and did something about it is a sad commentary about the league's integrity.

Are you sure you're truly happy??? Who really cares if the Rats got screwed on a blatant offensive PI call???

Move along - nothing to see here.

He clearly pushed off. I was glad to see they called it. Wasn't controversial at all.

With all the things the defense cant do, I would love it if offensive PI was called more often. Especially on all the back shoulder throws.

Rats lose, doesn't hurt my feelings. Next...

You're missing the point. What bothers me is the fact that there is a controversy at all. As if people are totally unfamiliar with the fact that an offensive player can get called for pass interference.

Send an email to Roger. I did - about 6 years ago...I'm still waiting on a reply...

I thought it was real close and the guy flopped well. Refs don't get to see replays. The defender was in a good position and it was taken away by what looked like a grab. He took a real chance by doing that. He should have went up strong and tried to make the play. He had inside position. I think if the DB's are going to have to wear boxing gloves to train to play so should the receivers. No feeling or touching the defender outside the 5yard area. Any subltle nudge or grab is a penalty. Fair is fair.

Every former ref in the media said it was the right call. Looked like OPI to me. If that play is in the middle of the game, no one is complaining about it except Ravens fans.

The thing about that play, watch from the start. There was a blatant Oline holding when flacco was about to get destroyed. If I recall it happens right as he scoots out of the pocket.

This call. Mikes golic said it right today, in today's nfl it's the right call.

I'm think the only ones complaining are GAVINS fans, everybody else could give a **** less, other than to see the gavins finally penalized.

I'm not a fan of all the ticky tacky calls, but that
was offensive PI, Smith grabbed the db and pulled him out of the way.
