The Nebraska State Democratic Party condemned the float, calling it one of the “worst shows of racism and disrespect for the office of the presidency that Nebraska has ever seen," according to the World-Herald.

I took it to mean he's a ****** president. But I'm not black. Clearly me not getting that its racist is racist in its own right.
 
“I’m angry and I’m scared. This float was not just political; this was absolutely a racial statement,” Glory Kathurima, a Norfolk resident originally from Kenya, told the Lincoln Journal Star. .....Well there you have it, them Kenyans gotta stick up for one another.

But parade organizers said the float didn’t violate rules against images “considered morally objectionable” and the exhibit was met with loud cheers from the crowd.

“This was a day to celebrate independence and part of that is speech and expression. He exercised his rights ... this was political satire. If we start saying no to certain floats, we might as well not have a parade at all,” Konopasek said.

Three judges from the parade committee awarded it an honorable mention.

Uhhh, okay. Sure. Racist because ... FBP is black?

And as for "disrespect" ... I wish there were some type of amendment that protected charged political speech. I know for a fact, for example, that George Bush never faced such disrespect.

But we know for a fact that those racist tea-baggers made all them Bush signs too...so there !

One hopes that when this "president" departs and "builds" "his" "library", that he'll follow tradition and build where he came from. Given the dearth of writing from his earlier life, and inanity of his "presidency", such a "library" could be easily accommodated in circumstances consistent with his lineage, even at his brother's place.

Wow ... what a great find.

But I recall the OUTRAGE when not some @#$%ing parade float but a major editorial cartoonist made that reference. Hoo-boy, the outrage at such nasty comments directed towards President Bush.
