Now this could be interesting - Aaron Rodgers a Free Agent?

Why did they IR him in the first place? It's not like they needed a roster spot for their playoff run.

Just keep him on the sidelines with a clipboard.

Mute argument by owners. GB will get away with breaking the rules and the “league” WILL turn a blind eye. Stories franchise that the NFL front office loves. Just like that arrogant Masshole **** Bucket *** Monkey organization who can do anything they want as well.

The NFL will enforce a shaky rule without conclusive video evidence but will no doubt turn a blind eye to what is a clear violation of this rule. It has about reached the status of the NHL in being a garage league.

Sign him for insurance if Ben retires. Would look good in black and gold, never used properly, etc, etc.

Id expect an investigation and a fine for the team. Sounds like they played fast and loose with roster rules.

Rule is stupid IMO. But a rule none the less. Give them a fine and be over with it.

make him sit out the first 4 weeks of next season (plus these two last weeks of this season = 6 weeks needed for IR status)

I do want to understand the logic of the rule. On the surface it seems dumb, but I'm sure there is at least something as to why they instituted it.

They will end up losing a pick over it... they abused it, for sure.. Rodgers will not get released though... unless, of course, tge Pats had a way to ensure he would sign with them... lol

If the NFL goes by their rules (which we all know they do not), they have to release him. He has no new injury and they put him back on IR.
