I like it the way it is. Give up a TD or safety game over, hold them to a FG(especially in this offensive geared league) you get the ball.

Coolie, in the O'l days rules I fully agree with the play ******* "D" and stop them but with today's rules stacked against the "D" it would be hard to stop them. I'm still for sudden death format but do wish there was a way to make it more than about a coin flip. NO, I don't have the answer.

In this offensive driven league, I would be for something like the only way the first possession wins the game is a safety, or a touchdown with 2 pt conversion.

Win the game in regulation, period!

There’s no guarantee that each team gets an equal number of possessions in regulation, would anybody be in favor of a rule that extended regulation to assure that? Then why support it in OT?

If you give up a safety or a TD on the first possession you deserve to lose.

Why? Because you lost a coin flip?

Needs a re-tooling

This, it gives a "D" a chance to put away the game (safety) or also the "D" to hold to field goal giving their "O" a chance to capitalize. I know it's the same as currently is and MOST owners must feel this same way as they are NOT taking a vote on OT rule change.

Losing the coin flip doesn't give up the safety or TD, you have to work at giving that up or youi don't deserve the win otherwise.
