NFL is dropping "probable" from the official injury report. All categories and definitions remain the same.

I bet they nixed probably because it is the same thing as saying they will be playing, so why even have a status that says that?

At one time they wanted everyone that was inured basically to report. So that covered the "probable". I guess they are going away from the report everyone that is injured listing........

I hope this doesn't lead to more guys being listed as "questionable."

I just read that they did adjust the definition of all three remaining designations. If they are hurt but will play that doesn't go on the report period. Questionable means that there is a chance
Doubtful. If someone does not play and is not listed they will have some explaining to do or potentially face penalties.

I was gonna say, what's Hoodie gonna do now? Br*dy has been listed as probable every game for about ten years.

The injury report is what it is. Teams, for the most part, know who's going to play 90% of the time. Doubtful or Out means the player does not play. Questionable can go either way and is often used to make the other team think about who they will be playing against.

By Oct. they could probably find boo boos for just about every starter if they were to really report every single ouchie.

That would be good but bad. Good cause then the boys can target opponents weaknesses, but bad cause opponents will do the same
