Assuming there is a season at all, it doesn't give much time to evaluate, and the fact that they usually use the first 3 games of the season for the starters to shake off the rust.

Coach MT will have to adjust to the situation.

as we have seen the past few years ben starting a bit rusty with him coming off a big shoulder injury you have to play him at least the 1st qtr to get adjusted to Fieler at LG and Cukes or Banner at RT and develop chemistry with Ebron Chase.
the D we know preatty much everyone is locked for a percentage of reps unless they will change how Edmunds will be used. Plus with conner bigger and maybe a lighter Snell and mcfarland it might be wise to let the O play 18 minutes then let mason and few back up OL with Snell and McFarland and samauls as the rotating backs.

F83, you're right on them needing playing time. I think the "D" will take care of themselves (not taking anything for granted as they need PT as well).

The offense needs 1st game full first quarter and if they are in possession then part 2nd to finish drive. 2nd game they need a full 1/2 and first full drive third quarter. Keep in mind this is to simulate actual game.

I realize that takes a lot of evaluation time away from marginal players but hey, pre-season is cut short so pay more attention to those evaluations in training camp.

WITH a shortened pre-season the evaluation has to be shortened as well. TOMLIN has been notorious on slow starting so he needs to against his norm.

NFLPA unanimously vovted for 0 preseason games. Why not? As long as Goodell is curled up in the fetal position and giving away everything, why not just keep taking?

Good. I see the NFLPA doesn't want any this year and I would be fine if they dumped the other two permanently as well. Play some controlled scrimmages at the camp sites with other teams and get on to the regular season.

preseason games are needed more than ever since they got rid of contact in practice. The quality of play is already slipping. Take away the preseason and it will fall even further.

When will young players develop?

If they get rid of preseason then they need to set up a developmental league.
