I didn't mind it really.....until I saw the NFL kept almost all the profits from the sales. People bye the pink stuff thinking it helps the cause but in the end it mostly pads the owners pockets.

Perhaps it was a nice gesture. This is niether here or there for me.

Good. I watch football to escape reality, not to be reminded of it.

It's good to raise awareness. But the league can prioritize in other avenues in respect to awareness rather than commercializing it

Throwing $ at cancer cures is a scam; they already have cures but it's too big a biz to allow them. What a sick scam.

I got sick of the pink crap. From what I understand much of the Komen foundation $ does not go to Cancer research, anyway. One weekend would be fine, but not all month. I prefer it if they take out all the social commentary from the games, anyway.

The NFL probably needs a month awareness of you to determine if your comments are either to make people think you are ignorant, or if in fact you really are. With your mindset we all would still be susceptible to Polio and Whooping cough.

Well, I have some thoughts on this that may not make me popular. I for one did not like the idea of pink stuff for a whole month. Pick a week, be done with it. I am pretty sure that every NFL fan is aware of breasts and that they have been known to be attacked by cancers, A month did not need to be devoted to this for nearly a decade. This was a money grab. They sold everything for every team in pink in the name of "raising awareness." Then to hear only a small portion of the profits on these jerseys and gear went to cancer research...I found it deplorable.Wouldnt buy a pink nfl product until all profits went to the research.

I was never a fan of it for many of the reasons already stated. It was already alluded to earlier in this thread, but football is the best story in all of sports and the league is so focused on marketing and focusing on dumb gimmicks and advertising that they forget that their product should be the focus. Great player matchup this week? Nope, have to worry about what shoes the players are wearing. Crucial situation in the final few minutes that can be discussed? Nah, gotta get in that last-minute commercial break. Fans always say stop going to games to get the attention of the owners and league. Nope. Stop watching. That's where the money is and people stopped watching this year. Things are changing and they're changing fast. I saw on PFT that there will be adjustments to the commercials in Week 16. For all that the NFL does wrong, at least they're trying--though most likely just for the sake of profit, but at least they're trying to improve the product.
