Our 3WR isn’t cutting it. Give me a warrior who tries hard and blows people up for the running game. That man is Nix. Then when ground game gets going try some play action.

I actually opened this thread

And you probably agree. Zero toughness last night. Zero focus. Next week is must win. Can’t go 0-2. Seattle is decent.

The late season slump looks like a continuation. I know just one game.

I'm not against that, that would also keep Vance in the game unlike last night.
Going 5 WR or 4WR just kept Vance on the sidelines.

Good luck getting them to use an I formation. Those days are long gone.

No way we will have the same set and the same look with the same players starting

Vance is a need. The play calling sucked last night. Pitch is wide and deep to a back on 3rd and 1 WTF.

Kick a field goal down three scores near the goal line? WTF again.

Essentially the. OC decided to feature Switzer last night.

Moncrief out. Washington in. Use NIx and McDonald more. Flex Nix or Samuels out as the 2nd TE since we don’t have one.

I never thought I say it but man we could use Jesse James right now.

I'm already getting tired of seeing Switzer catch a 2 yard pass and immediately getting tackled. That guy should never be "featured".

Who ******* cares.

Tomless couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag with chicago cutlery at his disposal.

They don't have to be ******* decent. Jesus. Tomless is likely looking up the old SB against the hags to copy plays over for his gameplan.

It pains me to say I agree with coach. The very lack of I in the league is why it might just work. You can run or throw from it if it is run right, and you can run with power. It makes shifts out of it more meaningful from a package personnel perspective, same thing with the two back set they ran at least once last night with Conner and Samuels. We need to get back to imposing our will and we have the horses to do it. Play Action out of the that could be deadly.

Pat's ran I formation a ton last night and our DB's/LB's were confused as hell what was coming.

Our offense is like a 12 year old playing Madden...4-5 wide every time you want to throw and sprinkle in a RB draw or toss every once in a while. It's laughable how bad the play calling has become. The only time you should consistently go 4-5 wide is with a hurry up type offense to control the defensive personnel and tempo OR if you have the players to consistently win matchups when the defense knows what's coming. We no longer have the latter yet this coaching staff continues to try to fit a square peg into a round hole time and time again.

Either give the reigns to Ben to run the no huddle all game or get some balanced play calling to keep defenses from knowing what the hell is coming every damn play.

throw some wildcat in there too...wtf.

I know it makes me sound old but I long to see Some classic I formation 2 WR 1 TE 1 FB 1 TB. With Nix and Vance there is so much we could do from it. It keeps them guessing and lets you determine there personnel and better matchups. Swap Samuels for Rosie and split the backs. Fake dive pitches, good old trap plays, Naked boots off the full back dive. I loved old school I. Make old new again. I get excited thinking about it. I ran it a lot when I coached and it killed.
