Next on the chopping block - Coaches

Green Bay had some poor teams, the Steelers always have a talented roster. My question is this. Tomlin with a franchise QB is 3-6 in his last nine playoffs game. Is there another coach with a franchise hall of fame bound QB that has done worse in his last 9 playoff games?

I don't think McCarthy is a great coach, but to be clear his playoff record is better than Tomlin's at 10-8. Of course there have been worse coaches than Tomlin, my problem is he underachieves relative to his talent.

Tomlin subject has been beat to death . Search the site it is dead horse drive. he is what he is. We have better (hopefully) assistants than in times past.

You tout yourself as intelligent but you regurgitate the same **** over and over again. Do you just have to have something to complain about? I gave you answers now like when people propose a bet you are trying modify the discussion.

You do the same **** with players. It is like you have a record player and it is stuck on one song.

Over and over and over again. And you wonder why I think you are a lughead.

Rodgers might have zero super bowl wins if Mendenhall didn't get stripped of the football. Like Ben, he's hall of fame bound.

If you have to bring up that fumble, then you have to include the horrible missed block by Whiff Johnson that was the proximate cause of the fumble.

The Rooneys are not going to fire their first Rooney Rule hire under any circumstances. Worst-case scenario he would have to have three losing seasons in a row and they would not extend his contract. The Steelers haven't fired a head coach since Bill Austin in 1968 and they aren't going to start now.

Nah, if I wanted grind on Tomlin in this thread, I'd mention his 3-6 in his last nine playoff game and went back to back seasons which no the playoff appearances in 2018 and 2019. 2018 was an epic collapse. Has any coach with a franchise QB done worse that that? ( 3-6 in his last nine playoffs game )? Help me out Ike, since your fixated on Mikey you might know the answer.

The help you need is far beyond reach of anything you could fathom. Well fortunately for us, the rest of us are much better than you in arithmetic. If you are going only count the SB loss in 2010, why are you leaving out the two wins before it in the same playoff? The correct figure is 5-6 in his last 11 playoff games. It’s easy, you don’t present facts, only your faulty interpretation of statistics.

As for coaches with franchise QBs...how many SB did Holmgren have with Farve? 1 in 6 playoff years. As mentioned previously Levy with Jim Kelly? Grant with Tarkenton? Argument ad nauseam.

I'd say McCarthy with Rogers has a similar pedigre.

So Tomlin only gets his last 9 games, but McCarthy gets all his, makes sense

Dallas is not doing well under McCarthy, especially the D. Gase will not make it to the end of the year. Interesting fact i read is the dolphins are the only team in the afc east to score more than they have given up

It may be a painful process, but the Jets should stick with Gase to increase their odds of getting the top pick so they can draft Trevor Lawrence.
