National Championship

Well that turned into a butt whipping. 463 yard 5 td passes no picks 58 yards rushing and a td. That's some crazy stats.

LSU had by far the better WRs, and Burrow is cool as a cucumber

Extravagant number of tight bare belly cheerleader shots, i was satisfied, well done

And President Trump and Melania coming out on the field for the National Anthem to cheering was sure to asplode heads everywhere, lol

How many 2020 1st round draft picks in that game?
 
Burrows in our division for the next decade is going to be a problem. We need to find our next franchise QBs as soon as possible. We have to keep up with the other teams in our division.
 
Burrows showed who the better QB was. I heard many say that if Lawrence came out this year, he would be the 1st pick. Not for me. I'd take Burrows. It sucks he is going to the Bungholes. We will be facing him twice a year for the next decade or two. Dude has it all - good arm, athleticism, accuracy, smarts. If he went to the Clowns, they would ruin him like they did so many QB's in the past but I doubt the Bungholes will.

Let's see... Big 10 in bowl games: 4-5. The horrible, overrated, overhyped, and despicable SEC 8-2 with a national title.

LSU was easily the best team this year. Really no denying it now. I guess the committee got it right. Well except that Clemson should have been #2 instead of OSU. But it didn't matter.

Better this year but he’s a freakin senior and Lawrence is a Sophomore with one Nat Championship!

Burrow was no where his first two years

Lawrence is a transitional talent and will be great pro for 15 years

When he gets to Cleveland or the lions you can see how transitional he is. I like Burrow but I don't expect much from him in bungleland. Those type of teams destroy talent not nurture it. Maybe if they can leave after their rookie deals but I don't expect much from either early on.
 
I haven't read this entire thread, but did anyone see the moron on Twitter that said America got cheated because Ohio State got cheated out of being in this game, and that they had the talent to stay with LSU and beat them??? Pretty ******* hilarious.

HAHAHA I've heard big 10 lovers for months talk about how great OSU is and that they should be #1. Then they played Clemson and got beat. Now, it's they were cheated? Right. LSU could have hung 80 on OU and could have put almost 50 on Clemson if they didn't take the air out in the last few minutes. OSU would have had no chance against LSU.

OSU jumped on Clemson early and was up 10-0 in the first Qtr. After Clemson figured them out they scored 13 point the other 3 qtrs. There is no way they were going to hang with LSU.

Who denied that LSU was #1? That was painfully obvious.

And I haven't read anything about Ohio State being cheated. Hopefully they aren't going down that road. They got beat. It sucks for them, but they got beat.

As far as the Big 10, I like Penn State. Grew up watching them and I guess I still do as a result. Don't really care much about the rest of the Big 10 as I find it to be mostly boring. Minnesota was fun to watch this year, so there's that.

Sure they did, which is why they watched the game on tv like we did.
 
i was sick as a dog yesterday and missed most of the second half zonked out on cold meds. The long layoff for this game was awful. A lot of people didn't even realize that game was last night. They should move back the first playoff round to maybe around Dec 20 then have the Championship game a day or so after Jan 1 games. Keep than momentum. I didn't even hear the game discussed very much. It was almost all NFL playoffs.


Burrow was very impressive. I'm always wary of these college QBs who throw to wide open guys all day. Saw a lot of that with Burrow throughout the year. What was impressive was the Clemson's defense is complicated, similar to NFL defenses. It did frustrate Burrow early, but he never got rattled and he figured it out. His accuracy is very impressive.

Clemson had an awful offensive gameplan. If they had one at all. Game was close in first half and they didn't use Etienne enough.


LSU could fall quite a bit next year. That offense was good because of the coach Joe Brady and Burrow. Both are gone. Brady just hired as OC by Carolina Panthers. LSU was a good team lifted up by a great player, kind of like Auburn with cam newton. LSu's defense may bet better next year, but that offense may take a huge step back.

I do think Clemson's soft schedule hurt them. They were outplayed by Ohio State. The offense only started to move when their slot CB was ejected. The Clemson WRs were not used to being challenged. LSU continued that.

Clemson is ridiculously loaded with talent. They'll be back next year. Hard to think they won't rip through the ACC again to the playoff.

Ummm ok. Most of the damage to OSU wasn't by the slot anyway. So not sure why you are using that excuse. It took Clemson time to get adjusted. But once they did they scored 29 points in less than 3 Qtrs. The idea that the game turned because of a slot CB who had 25 tackles, 1 int and 8 PDs all year seems odd to me.

Clemson is a better team than OSU. OSU didn't have a killer schedule either.

ohios State has to change their scheme when that nickel CB went out. It was a trickle down effect. Guys had to shift duties. Clemson couldn’t do **** prior to him leaving the game.

I get it. You are all in on SEC and for some reason that also includes anti Big Ten sentiment. But I have no idea how anybody could have watched that OSU vs Clemson game and came away thinking Clemson was the better team. Ohio State lost that CB. Fields was clearly injured, wearing a brace and not running, and then when Dobbins got hurt, it changed the offense. Despite all of that, Ohio State was still going to win that game if not for the horrible call that took that fumble TD off the board.

I’m glad Ohio State lost the way they did. First, I hate them and wish bad things for them. Second it was a close loss that can’t be used to bash the whole big 10. It’s nonsense that happens but we know it does.

LOL OSU lost because of a freakn' nickel CB? I hope you are not serious. Clemson lost it's top 2 WRs during that game. Higgins missed part of the 1st Qtr and all the 2nd Qtr. Ross hurt his neck during the first half and his shoulder in the second half. But how can 2 star WRs compare to losing a nickel CB? Maybe if he hadn't headhunted Lawrence he'd still be in the game?

Yea, I get it too. OSU only lost because of bad calls and the ejection of their nickel CB. None of the calls against Clemson were bogus and Clemson's injuries were of no consequence. You're big 10 bias is clearly showing.

Fields was so hurt he wasn't even on the injury report. His coach said that he "Felt Great". Dobbins did get hurt but he wasn't hurt when they had to settle for FGs in the first half. He was fine then. It was 16-14 when he got hurt. And again Clemson had 2 hurt WRs and Higgins was in the locker room.

BTW did that fumble mean that the WR had to run the wrong way on that int to end the game?
