With the third preseason game over, the upcoming NFL season is slowly creeping onto fans and players alike. After the latest installment of the Pittsburgh Steelers preseason game, the subsequent days allowed for several news stories and updates to come out. One of those nuggets of news is of a report on star defensive back, Minkah Fitzpatrick, who was seen on the sideline on Monday’s practice with an ice-wrapped leg.

Fitzpatrick played on Saturday’s preseason game but did not appear to get injured during the game, or at least nothing that I saw with my own eyes.

As for a public comment on the matter, Head Coach Mike Tomlin gave one of the most articulate and descriptive answers that a head coach can. During a post-practice press conference, Coach Tomlin made a statement about his star defensive players leg.

When asked about Fitzpatrick’s health, Tomlin said,

“He’s fine.”

In a tweet by ESPN reporter Brooke Pryor, she stated that Fitzpatrick did not practice and also reported that Tomlin said the defensive back was fine despite the ice on the leg.

Minkah Fitzpatrick didn’t practice today and had a leg wrapped with ice at one point, but coach Mike Tomlin said he’s fine.

As of today, there is no new news of Fitzpatrick’s health.

Are you worried about the health of Fitzpatrick or is this being overblown? How hopeful are you of a big season from one of the league’s best safeties? Comment below!

More concerned if there was a regular season game Sunday. There isn't.

They better watch out. Misreporting an injury can get you a huge fine - unless your name is Tom Brady and you did it for an entire season.
You don't have to report injuries in the preseason.
