By Brandon J. Wallace SteelerNation.com ** Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers and head coach, Mike Tomlin were fined $75,000 and $25,000 respectively for violating the NFL injury report policy per NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport. This was due to an inaccurate practice report of QB Ben Roethlisberger in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. The #Steelers have […]

They better be fining the Cardinals for lying about David Johnson a few weeks ago. They claimed all week he was good to go and then they played him the first snap so he technically started and then he sat down for Chase Edmunds who had a huge game.

Washington will never trade for him now! Every team does this every week

Where are the Tomlin defenders? Another sloppy, and costly move, just like his coaching.

Which team that has a player clearly out lists him in a practice report? Tomlin has cost his team in the draft if memory serves downgrading a later pick via his actions.

I hope Dan Snyder isn't paying attention.

Not sure if it's true or not but I heard a few years ago that Belicheat listed Br*dy as Probably or Questionable every week for 15 years.

Belichick has been abusing the injury list since his Cleveland days. He places on the injury report players who are “hurt”, and not injured who will play regardless. It’s the whole reason why the injury report system was revamped a few years ago to either designate Questionable, Doubtful or Out. Before there were four designations including Probable. Teams were complaining NE had so many players listed as Questionable, they didn’t know who would be available for the 48 on game days.

I don't really remember a wed. when he practiced in the last 7 or so years. but he might have 1 or 2

Ben always takes Wed off when he's banged up. When he's fully healthy, he practices on Wednesdays.

I thought with the new injury reporting rules, this should be a null and void. You don't list probable anymore, so what did they do wrong? All players have aches and pains, and you don't report all of them. Just the ones that stop you from practicing or may affect your ability to play in a game. Such a hindsight penalty, and bullshit IMHO.

Brady was listed as injured for like 5-6 strait years each week, before they got rid of the probable designation. I think they were fined for one week of it, so they just kept listing him as injured as a protest to the rule.
