Per Mike and Dianna, Rodgers is waiting on the Vikings whom he prefers and would like a contract similar to what Sam Darnold just signed in Seattle.

All home games in a dome versus outside at Acrisure - he's gonna be 42 so again, it makes sense to me.

I dont blame him. Surprised they are interested. No ****** way he plays better then Darnold last year and tgey have tge Michigan kid. Hard pass for me. He clearly wants $ above all. And his bullshit is not worth hus game at this point.
 
Should be sending a loud and clear message to both the Steelers and Giants. He’s waiting on the Vikings! Hello, McFly! Geez both these franchises should take the hint, the drama queen don’t want you, he wants the Vikings or he would have already signed with either of the other.
You have in Minnesota a HC in Kevin O’Connell who turned Darnold around and is an excellent offensive mind. The Vikes have a damn good team on both sides of the ball and got better in FA.
What’s not to like there vs the two offensive juggernauts in Pittsburgh and NY.
 
I have to say so far this free agency Omar doesn’t get passing grades.

Failed to upgrade the run D
Failed to upgrade the QB position.

Now they have one less pick in the draft on top of that.

Might be a good time to draft down in 1 or up in 3…
 
Regardless of who we sign between Russell and Rogers, we are still a 9 win team at best until we find our next franchise QB. Why wouldn’t they just sign Russell as he seemed to want to stay. Sign him for 2 years and draft Dart or Shough. Done.

Did you watch him this past season? He's still making ridiculous throws, arm as strong as ever seems like and can still move around a bit. The thing that bothers me is his age, but at the same time the window is closing rapidly on the Steelers and the core of talent they have now. I'm really conflicted and anxious with this waiting game.

After the fascination with Rodgers and waiting around for him, Russ might not be as interested any longer.

If I was him, I would demand another 5 million if they go back to him.

Because then they use up a bunch of cap space on a guy who has yet to outperform Rudy......why is that a good idea?
 
I've seen reports that the vikings aren't interested in Rodgers. Also knowing how Rodgers is, a random media source isn't breaking a story on him. Rodgers will most likely break the news himself on the McAfee show

They couldn’t even entice the FB from the Niners who came for a visit.
Supposedly Steelers offered him a contract more than what the Niners offered. He re-signed with the Niners.

You know slash,I think most of us are proud fans of this organization. This waiting around ,pretty well begging type of BS is sucking the pride right out of me. It’s starting to piss me off. They got caught putting all their eggs in one basket last season without any contingency plans and are doing the same again. You can pretty well see how the national media is shaking their heads and laughing at us at the same time. It’s a ******* embarrassment.
I don’t even blame Rodgers. He’s a FA….he can sign whenever he wants. What happens if he signs? We were what…3rd best choice? Yea. That’s the type of player I want. At best he would be with us 2 years,most likely one year.
If the Steelers really wanted Fields,why didn’t they go all in right after the season was over. All of us looked up the upcoming FA QB’s in 2025. ****,I looked it up right after they signed Fields and Russ,knowing that they were on a one year contract. We all knew the selection wasn’t great. So they had to act quickly and decisively. I blame Ownership,FO,HC.
Now of course if they went all in and no one wanted to play here,what does that say about our team?

I’ve got nothing against Metcalf. But the fact that we signed a 28 year old WR for 150 million dollars without having a signed QB that is our future is mind boggling to me. To me this is the type of thing you do when you believe you are a player of two away from making a serious run. Which we aren’t. And if they had to go this route,sign a player for that type of money in FA,rather than trading and giving up a second. That second is huge for us. The coming days should be interesting.
