Miami Dolphins Vs Steelers Monday Night Pregame thread

Ok, Im pitting this out early...

The Dolphins are on a 4 game winning streak, and they started it by blowing out the Bills...

They have done so behind a reinvigorated Running game. Basically Tua passes for less than 200 yards and De'Von Achane rushes for 100+

Apparently his rib injury is fine... so he will likely play

They are ok vs the pass, but their Rushing D sucks


Here is the thing:
The Steelers are inducting Ben, Porter, and Pouncey into the Hall of Honor at halftime, and they havent lost a home Monday night game since Chuck Noll's last season...

Ultimately the Steelers path to the division title doesnt need this win, but the outside chances to finish in the 3 seed does need it..
Winning out is always the plan, but if they drop Miami and Detroit... then beat the Browns and Ravens, they still get the division...

The best the Bengals can finish is 8-9. If they beat the ravens again next week (dumb schedule BTW), the best the ravens can finish is 9-8. Basically, we control our own destiny...which of history is any indication, is not the best place to be...

If the Steelers win and the Rats lose this weekend the Steelers just have to beat the Browns and they win the division. They max tge Ravens could have is 9-8 the Steelers would be 9-8 worst and hold the divisional tiebreaker of less division losses.

Yeah, they aren't losing this game, not with these three in attendance.

Ben Roethlisberger
-September 26, 2004 was Roethlisberger's first official start in the hurricane in Miami. He went 12/22 for 163 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. The Steelers won 13-3

Joey Porter
-After a successful 8-year career with the Steelers, the Steelers cut Joey Porter to save cap space (but I'd also say because he was a vocal leader within the previous regime). The Dolphins signed him to a big contract and he blew up his second season in Miami with 17.5 sacks.

Maurkice Pouncey
-Maurkice's brother, Mike, was drafted one year after the Steelers' center. The Steelers took Maurkice 1.18 in 2010 while the Dolphins took Mike 1.15 in 2011. Maurkice had the more decorated pro career.
