Mell has us going CB round 1

Best player available at 25 and it won't be a CB.
That's a big reason we haven't seen a CB in round 1 in a long time, no necessarily because we don't value that position, but because we've picked so low the top end talent there is usually gone. I guarantee if the Jets didn't take Revis before us, we would've taken him.

None of our CB's are that great that we shouldn't allow a rookie 1st rounder to get in the lineup and take his lumps. Sure, a rookie will make mistakes but the upside is much greater by allowing them to play with the crap we have been playing with. I would have no problem if we took Apple or even Fuller in round 1.

Here's my analysis, today, neither Fuller or Apple grade out like Marcus Peters from last year. That being said, I'm riding the BPA bus at 1.25 - or at least until I see some more of the workouts at the Combine...

Our first 3 picks better be for the defensive secondary. We need the help worse than the bums living under the west end bridge.

in a perfectly even value world sure

but not so sure that is what we will be looking at round 1

Well its time to grab a corner with picks 1 and 2 and a safety with 3. I can't stand seeing the long plays we give up game after game.

even if the corner we pick isn't worth a first round pick? a first round corner doesn't guarantee success...

Mel Kipper also said that Jimmy Claussen was going to be a star in the league and didn't understand why no one was drafting him #1.

We let Foster walk and my 1.25 pick is Josh Garnett if he's on the board. Top guard in the draft is a no brainer when you want to protect Ben for his last couple of seasons.

We re-sign Foster at LG, then I'm staring at the top TE and looking to see if any DBs fall in my lap. I wouldn't reach for a late first round DB because the top end talent will be gone by the time we pick. If we can trade down into the top of round 2 and pick up a 3rd round pick maybe that's acceptable to get an extra pick.

All the more reason to trade down and grab a couple extra picks. There is some talent to be had later for sure.

You need a trading partner, I heard from one of the insiders on the radio that they have tried to move up or down in the first round a couple times over the past few drafts, but didn't have trading partner. They didn't specify what year or if they were trying to move up or down though.

I'd imagine there is thought to that every year. Some here seem to think it never (or almost never) happens. Or maybe the FO is just too stupid to think it through. I'd also imagine that many years, they have enough people on the board that they want trading up for slightly better isn't worth the cost.

Pick a DB at every pick in every round, a couple of them have to pan out.

Apple has the " upside " Fuller didn't run at the combine, possible red flag.

This draft has some decent CB's, but by our pick in round two, 8-9 of them will be GONE, so if you want a good corner it needs to happen in round one.

The draft is deep at DT and OL, so perhaps we can get value here in roudns 2 and 3.

Do a little research , Coach. Fuller is recovering from an acl.
