Seems like every other commercial on TV is related to pharmaceuticals... Doesn't matter the channel or programming. No doubt they have the deepest pockets to corner the advertising market and they're turning the population into a flock of hypochondriacs.

Got itchy skin? Ask your doctor about Excetizine. Side effects include liver disease, blindness and stroke. I think I'd rather have itchy skin.

Yep, throughout my career, I was always in the less is more category. The ads put pressure on providers to prescribe what the patient tells them to.
I had a program where I'd have patients bring in everything in their medicine cabinet, and along with having their medical records, would take an hour or so sorting
things out for them. Fortunately, I worked in a setting that I could do that. Over medicating was as much of a problem as compliance was.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I heard a little bit back that the only two nations who ALLOW pharmaceutical advertising on TV are the USA and New Zealand.

IF true, think about that.

Western medicine is dumb. I rarely go to the doctor. Why would I pay through the nose to find out what's killing me today, and then pump my body full of chemicals.

I just don't get it.

I'd never tell anyone what to do, but a yearly physical with labs is something I would promote. We're all gonna die, but it doesn't have to be sooner than later.
7 years ago, those labs told me to get a biopsy on my prostate, and I'm still here typing about it.

This is 100% accurate.
No need to correct FACTS.

I agree with that. I'm also a fan of basic stuff. Living a life of medicine? Not so much.

For the record, I have my PSA blood draw coming next week.

Glad you're doing well.

its the processed food that is killing you softly.

We eat a lot of clean meats - what I hunt, fish for, and local butchered beef - and farmers market veggies, or what we grow.
You are very fortunate.
