Bob Kraft spotted chatting with Deflategate judge at Hamptons party
By Will Brinson | NFL Writer
September 7, 2015 1:37 pm ET

In what will only serve as (largely unnecessary) ammo for conspiracy theorists, Patriots owner Bob Kraft was at the same party with Judge Richard Berman over the weekend.

According to the New York Post, the two gentlemen were at the same party in the Hamptons. The headlines will create an uproar, but as a source told the Post, it's not a big deal whatsoever.

“It was a chance encounter at a social event with hundreds of guests," the source told the paper. "There was a brief introduction and an exchange of pleasantries that lasted no more than a couple of minutes.”

Because, if you think about it, it's unlikely Berman and Kraft have ever met. Berman, a U.S. District Court judge in New York, was assigned to the Brady case. He's a pretty high-profile person and Kraft, as owner of the Patriots, clearly has a little cachet himself.

A rep for the Patriots told Page Six, “It was a chance encounter at a social event with hundreds of guests. There was a brief introduction and an exchange of pleasantries that lasted no more than a couple of minutes.”

Florio (Who hasn't had a Pro Pats Deflategate story he did not want to run with) Buries the lead

Interesting that the unnamed source mentioned in the first article is actually the Pats Rep......nothing to see here.....move along......

I have no doubt this will be overturned if the NFL appeals. This judge stepped way out of bounds from everything I read.

was reading up on it apparently Kraft and one of the Supreme Court judges are buddy buddy

deep pockets give you many friends - however fake they may be

The ****'s over, who even cares any more? The ***** is playing in three days, nothing is changing that.

They cheated, got caught and the still get away with what they wanted. No one is taking away their SuperBowls either.

Karma will catch up to them eventually.

the media who force feed their agenda

Karma catches up with Marsha before game 4 of this year.

Meh...I am thankful for this interesting tidbit. While I already had my own suspicions about "interference" from Kr*ft - this just opens the door a bit more...

Well it definately is working, public or not. t*mmy b*y was going to play regardless. Now the appeals proccess may delay long enough for the ***** (sorry *******), to retire. This judge stepped way out of bounds and knows it. Had it gone the other way, t*mmy b*y would not have had enough time to appeal and get a decision to play. This way, it's all good.................FlUCK the cheats.

Salute the nation

Well, Martz says Goodell twisted his arm on spygate.

A congressional inquiry that would put league officials under oath had to be avoided, Martz recalls Goodell telling him. "If it ever got to an investigation, it would be terrible for the league," Goodell said.

Martz says he still had more questions, but he agreed that a congressional investigation "could kill the league." So in the end, Martz got in line. He wrote the statement that evening, and it was released the next day, reading in part that he was "very confident there was no impropriety" and that it was "time to put this behind us."

Shown a copy of his statement this past July, Martz was stunned to read several sentences about Walsh that he says he's certain he did not write. "It shocked me," he says. "It appears embellished quite a bit -- some lines I know I didn't write. Who changed it? I don't know."

Since Spygate broke, Martz says he has continued to hear things about the run-up to that Super Bowl. Goodell "told me to take him at his word," he says. "It was hard to swallow because I always felt something happened but I didn't know what it was and I couldn't prove it anyway. Even to this day, I think something happened."

a lot of crazy coincidences:
The equipment guy who, on his own, decided to deflate footballs for the game. Coincidentally, he has begun losing weight and become known as The Deflator! Man, crazy, right?
A head coach who is, clearly, a control freak. Yet he has NO IDEA what is going on.
A multi-million $ QB who has been playing QB since forever, doesn't notice the difference in how the balls are inflated AND just happens to refuses to cooperate in the investigation.
Some "independent scientist" comes out saying that the deflation was something other than intention and it just so happens that Kraft's company is an investor in the "scientist's" company.
And Kraft and the judge just so happen to be at the same party.

Crazy.

kraft runs the league

Kraft and this entire organization is the slimiest in the league.

Anyone notice that in the ESPN article on the *ts, Arlen spector was said to have claimed someone tried to bribe him to drop the spygate investigation.....
