I view this draft as a C+ to B- type of draft, so you could I agree with the consensus. It will take three years to know. I did like Edmunds as a player, in round 2-3 and was very high on Rudolph. The other picks just didn't do it for me. Well, I liked Samules in round 5.

About this time three years ago the following names became Steelers

Dupree - An okay 1st round pick, clearly not very good, or pro bowl level
Golson - Epic level bust, hated the pick. Never saw the field.
Coates - Did not like the pick, he's a distant memory already unless we are talking about dropped passes
Grant - Liked him as a reserve DB for the 2015 draft, the Steelers cut him
James - A solid 2nd TE, and yes he caught that ball vs New England.
Walton - The 5th or 6th bet DL Player. Nondescript
Chickillo - Solid reserve OLB. and Special teams guy.
Holliman - Cut

Three years gone, I would say this is a C+ type of draft with only one man starting. Would you agree on 2015?

how did you jump from 2018 to 2015? I wasn´t discussing 2015.

I said it will take three years to grade. Then went back to show you how 2015 worked out with my thoughts in April 2015.

But C+ to B- is my grade. Yours would be?

Media "opinions" .... blah, blah, blah
Not much into them after the draft. Because AFTER the draft, I'm hoping/praying that the pre-draft "opinions" were either spot on or totally wrong based on who we picked. Maybe that's just me. But really, neither the media, we fans or the Steelers themselves will know what they got until the kids get on the practice field. And even then, they'll only have an idea of what those players may or may not become with coaching.

^Absolutely. If Belichick got Rudolph in the 3rd round, it'd be all over the news confirming his genius.

I give coach a D- for his lack of knowledge with everything he ******* about. Once and a blue moon from the thousands of **** spewed the squirrel finds a nut and gets something right. That saved him from a F grade.

What I find comical is reading something from a site, and without actually seeing said player in a game, he tried to sell his opinion of their opinion as fact. Thread after thread he will regurgitate his nonsense. New thread new *****, new thread new *****. New day, rinse and repeat.

Coach has the cleanest windows in town. For his windows I give him a A grade. How he continually licks them and leaves no streaks. Amazing.

Truly.

The goal of the NFL draft is to pick up elite players - game changers. Doing that at 1-1 should be easy. Doing so at 1-28 or 1-31 should not. However, from 2011 through present, look at the game changers the Steelers have selected:

Maurkice Pouncey, Antonio Brown, David Decastro, Ryan Shazier, Stephon Tuitt, Leveon Bell, Craig Heyward, T.J. Watt, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and arguably Burns. (Give it time, people. Ike Taylor was not elite when he joined the team, he BECAME elite.)

Hey, look at that, ALL THESE ELITE TALENT GUYS PLAY FOR THE STEELERS and have not been traded for more freaking draft picks (*cough* Patsies). I dare somebody to find another team - drafting 1-1 or 1-8, I don't give a **** - which has found 9 or 10 elite players between 2011 and 2017.

Don’t have the time or energy to sift through the archives of numerous threads by you and see what you actually opined; but here are some comments you will ignore:

Dupree - “An ok 1st round pick, BUT CLEARLY NOT VERY GOOD...” if he’s not very good how can can he be an ok 1st rounder?

Golson - While I’ll admit it was disappointing not to see anything from a 2nd rounder, you seriously can’t call him a bust since he wasn’t able to get on the field two years in a row due to freak non- contact injuries. Considering he never was injured his entire career until he got to the NFL, can’t fault his play since me never got to.

Grant - Steelers FO must be boneheads for cutting him if you liked him as a reserve. Is even on a roster now?

LT Walton - 5th - 6th DL “nondescript”. LOL he was part of the rotation with Cam and Tuitt, he replaced Tuitt and rotated with Alulau after he got hurt. Team is very high on him. You don’t watch games, so it’s ok that you are clueless.

Chickillo - now we come to the guy who you predicted would start over Harrison, practically assured he would be a star. But yet still hasn’t gotten there quite yet. I agree is a solid reserve and ST stalwart. He’s a role player and a quality backup. Keion Adams will fight for his spot or another FA if one is signed.

You gave a letter Grade, but haven’t provided the parameters for them. But don’t worry about giving it now.....we know it wouldn’t be yours. We already know you don’t watch games so your opinion is only as good as far as you can throw it in he trash. But it does provide amusement for the board.

As I know you will ask, I won’t give a letter grade on the draft. Pointless. As Coolie stated, until the pads come on and the hitting starts no one will know. I’m happy with the picks. Each one is a crapshoot. So can’t make any informed opinion until they play. But unlike you, I don’t have an agenda. I’m not stupid enough to think I can do what the FO does with their resources and I only have opinion pieces from non-professional athletes.

the ******* genious would look ridiculously genious with a "RED HOT" poker sticking out of his ***.

Salute the nation

Man, you guys rag on Coach, but he provides a LOT of content and discussion. Even if most of it is **** the masses disagree with. Don't stop doing what you're doing, Coach. I appreciate you and your love for the Steelers.

As for the topic at hand...I am glad we weren't rated highly. That just means we probably had an awesome draft. The pundits are just goober fans like us that got a job covering it.
