I know there were rumors that the Steelers may have been interested, but do we know if the Steelers actually made him an offer? Did they ever actually bring him in for a visit? I hadn't heard anything. I don't see where this is much of a big deal.
The Titans are going to become Pittsburgh south with Lebeau over there, at least on the defense side of the ball. I wouldn't be surprised if they target William Gay at the start of FA.

Not a big loss. Last year's drafts are ready and primed. Not to mention, faster and younger. That's the goal of reloading this defense, younger, faster, stronger and hungry. I never question the rooney way, I may not like or approve but I never question it. They know a hell of alot more about these guys than we do.

McCain just got cut from the dolphins on a similar deal to what he just got from the titans. To spend 2,5M on a fringe player I rather invest harder on a true starter. What good is it to have three guys of 2,5M cap hit when none of them is really trustable?

Can't say I'm all that upset at this move. Reason being that Colbert would've signed him and then said that they "addressed" the secondary. While McCain was decent in his one year here, we all know what he is, a serviceable but marginal improvement over Blake. I'd rather they pursue Weddle or someone else.

He is worthy of praise, over all, for sure. But he held this team back his last few seasons here. His man-crush on Troy hurt this team in a bad way.
