Marshawn Lynch retiring?

Lynch dropped to 3.8 ypc this season. Wheels were coming off no matter if he stayed or went.

Thomas Rawls averaged 5.6 ypc behind the same line. And they still have Christian Michael (4.9 ypc) that they drafted late for this process too.

Seattle is fine.

He went from saying he was the best in the league a few weeks ago to not doing much in his return game in the playoffs to now talking about retiring. Sounds like a complete head case to me.

Although, he did save all of his contract money so he should be set for life.

One of the few players in the league that when he was on, he was clearly worth the price of admission.

Dude is a Berkeley guy...of course he's a head case...

...but he was a fantastic running back. With the league devaluing them and with the emergence of Rawls it was time to go. Lynch will be fine, he does a ton of charity work...

Window is a closing for those Sea Chickens. Lynch basically a non-factor in these playoffs AND Seattle should have gone out in the first round anyways.

Still has a Defense so they'll not disappear but this still is a blow to them.

Job.

I think he was going to make a statement about it, but just sat there in front of the press staring blankly into space for 10 minutes until his time was up and then said, "We done?"

THIS. Beast mode is used up, and only played this year because he couldn't turn down the mad cash (like 10 mill?)

He didn't appear to be anywhere near the beast we knew his career.

You have to move on. We loved Hines Wards, Troy, Bettis, Aaron Jones, Keisel, Big Snack, etc. but father time is undefeated. We had no choice but to move on, and it's the same for Seattle.

Not a big blow. Maybe not a blow at all. Beast was spent all season. He was just collecting a pay check.

They will re-tool and be fine. They need an upgrade with offensive play makers. Jimmy Graham didn't do jack **** for them. Big disappointment.

Good luck with finding someone / place that will put up with his bull chit stuff. His life work will be silent,.........then "we done"?

Salute the nation

He will work as a spokesman for Skittles

When he was doing his silent thing he would at least talk about his charities. I do not think he is a bad guy, just socially awkward. I think he will be fine and do better with spotlight off of him.

He'd look good in black and gold, wasn't used properly in Seattle. Might sign for the right price. Wants to be with a real SB contender. Can be coached up.
