Lee got absolutely clobbered on the knee by a helmet. They took the video of it off NFL,com so can't review it any more. If that knee isn't destroyed, he's at least gone for several weeks or IR. Yes, the player was flagged for leading with the helmet.

I found a video on Twitter and the video from behind the play is brutal. The way his leg is bent after the hit is nothing you want to see happen to any player.

They started to talk about it, and showed one replay, but I have not seen nor heard anything. Hope the best for him!

Wow, thanks for that link Omar. The way the knee bent outward is a bad sign. You can't dislocate or hyperextend in that direction. His MCL is likely torn. Hopefully his ACL and PCL is still intact, but my guess is one of those took some damage too.

He didn’t hit his head isn’t that what the nfl is teaching

I was watching that game and was thinking that was a flag? Guy dives through the air to get the legs. Your head is on top of your shoulders. Hence they could at any time say you're leading with your head which looked to the inside of leg with shoulder making contact.

Ouch. MCL,LCL,PCL,ACL.....a lot of L,s could be in that mix. That really sucks. The bend wasn't too bad,but that twist outward was.

That cb looked like he was breaking a wish bone on turkey day.

Yeah. The new helmet rules, we'll probably see a lot more of this

Ha, I'll pass looking at it. In my mind I can still see LT's hit on Theismann.

From a viewing perspective the hit doesn't look that bad, until you see a close up of Marqis Lee after the hit.
His kne was twisted pretty brutal

We shouldn't be, though. These are top level athletes who on a weekly basis do things on a football field that wow us. Yet, we can't expect the to see what they hit, hit with their shoulder, and hit the opposing player in the midsection? Top level athletes?

Even top level athletes have their wtf? moments.
DB's are not the biggest guys on the field.
They've always missled into larger players.

Sucks to know, but injuries are part of game.

I know what you are saying, and there will be mistakes. But still, great athletes should be able to make the adjustment back to the way they were taught to tackle at a younger age. At least they should have been taught.
