I like Barron, but need the cap space! Unfortunately gotta let him go.

He will be a cap casualty. Easy decision to make.

I guess I am one of the few that hope he stays. If you don't like his cap hit you can always extend him a year...

This would be the only way to keep him but still I think Bush will solidify the position next year and won't need to rotate at all. Vince as a thumper next to him is ideal, having Barron as depth is excellent but you can't keep them all when you have shortcomings in other spots so that money can be invested in a true NT or a vet RB

Yeah that Bush hope. It is a hope until he shows he can improve on his zone capabilities. He IMO has shown man coverage capable. We know bince is deficient in both areas. See Barron is a clear upgrade over Fort or Bostic and I am not willing to take chances the next man up will suck. Say God forbid Bush gets injured as well as not progressing in the mentioned areas, then you are back to holes in the short to intermediate area. Sorry still a keep from how I see it. One year extension gives Bush a little more closer of a look... There is plenty of areas they can cut and snip like dead weight. Not an effective player that helped shore up a recent weakness.

Nice write up Mark and looking forward to the future puzzle articles. Thank You

I'm kind of on the keep but restructure deal. It's odd how our D sucked for years and now that it's good, the O is sucking eggs. An off-season of healing should help the O but we still need a few holes filled. LT / OL, WR. RB (not in order), COACHING.
