I thought they awarded a bye to teams playing internationally after the game, but I just looked and Jax didn't get their bye until week 12 and they played in London week 7. So, it could really be at any point in the season, but here are the possible teams for the game:

Baltimore
Cleveland
Cincinnati
Buffalo
Green Bay
Indianapolis
Miami
Minnesota
Seattle

Wonder what the betting odds for each team are...

It also makes a difference as to what day of the week this game is played. If it's season opener (usually a Thursday) then not as big a deal. Sunday / Monday night....... becomes a disadvantage deal. Also, I'd think their 2nd game would be a HOME game, all contributing to competitive fairness.

I have seen the history of Steelers and scheduling, so it's a wait and see, but not surprised if not favorable.

I'd be willing to wager a large amt of $$ that it'll be Green Bay. The NFL doesn't schedule divisional matchups for these overseas games (as far as I can recall), and the league knows that both Steeler and Green Bay fans travel just as well, if not better, than just about any other fanbase in the league.

I don't think fan base travel matters at this point for the international games. They sellout huge stadiums to see that Jags.

My first thought was we'd play against Minnesota in Ireland. You know, the viking history and all... but, Green Bay is a good suggestion as well.

Ireland! Totally ridiculous! I absolutely do not agree with these international games. These people are all avid soccer fans that’s their football not the American sport. I get why they’re doing it. Money, it’s always the greed aspect but to take a home game away to play in Ireland is blasphemy.

There have actually been 7 divisional matchups internationally. 5 in London, 2 in Mexico. Green Bay would be a good guess, Miami and Minnesota would also be good guesses as both have played international games before. We played Minnesota in London in 2013

Jets vs Dolphins
Colts vs Jags
Cards vs Rams
Panthers vs Buccs
Texans vs Jags
Chiefs vs Chargers
9ers vs Cards

What time do these games usually start? With a 9-hour time difference, I'll probably record it for later.
Unless, of course, if it will be streaming exclusively on the Magnolia channel or something similar that I won't be subscribing to.

It doesn't say it's the first game of the season. It says it's the first regular-season game in Ireland. Very different. I am hearing rumors from Buffalo that it's going to be September 28th Bills-Steelers in Dublin.

Do you season ticket holders get a one game refund on your bill this year? I’m guessing no 🤬

If no, do they get free seat in Ireland???? Could be a lot of no-shows……… not good for camera image NFL.

As a season ticket holder, I really hope it's Indianapolis because the rest of those matchups are pretty good. It's beyond lame losing a home game to another country.

AGAIN, stop with the travel well bullshyte. The Steelers have fans EVERYWHERE, and they are not traveling to get there.

International games should be Preseason only.

Most likely on the new streaming only NFL International + network. You can subscribe for all the International games each year for $699.

I sure hope Trump charges a 50% tariff for moving games overseas and taking them away from American fans.

With the addition of the 17th game, they alternate home and away for that odd game. There will still be 8 home games in Pittsburgh, but that odd extra game is what we're losing.

So it 100% will be the Steelers vs Green Bay...IIRC the packers have the only Irish born player in the league
Daniel Whelan...

Yes. It’s just like a season where we only have 8 home games. Don’t like it. Can’t see it being the Bills game. More likely one of the less in demand games. They will sell out no matter the opponent.

By the way. This season ticket holder is 3 hours away from Pittsburgh and sometimes has tickets available.

I didnt say we dont have fans everywhere, dipshit. But they absolutely DO travel well, at least im comparison to other fanbases

Most of the games in Germany or England started at 6:00 am Pacific Standard time.
