Special Teamers going after Special Teamers.....your 2018 Pittsburgh Steelers!

See post #25, already there, reading is your friend

That was 100 percent a chance at Boswell. Fort isn't good enough to be calling his teammates out on Twitter. Good opportunity for Tomlin to make an example out of someone, right?

Damn Tomlin should cut his ***, or if he’s a FA just let him go. That attitude is why this team loses so many games

The value of a very good to great kicker.

While I think the kicker isn't the most valuable position, there is no denying an excellent one can mean the difference in games, and that includes playoff games.

The Rams kicker is fantastic at what he does, and LA advances because of his ability. Meanwhile, the Bears kicker was shakey, and there are out partly because of him.

And our kicker, which Tomlin seems to have blind loyalty to is a reason why we didn't make the playoffs.

Why or special teams coach remains is a mystery to me. We need an upgrade at ST coach, K, P, and finding backups who can cover kicks will help too.

Luckily for us, all of the above can be found for cheap with later round draft picks or free agency.

2 Things:
1. It has NOTHING to do with "blind loyalty", it has EVERYTHING to do with Bos having signed a huge contract after last season.
2. Bos was pretty damn solid for us last year. Nobody knows if or for how long he was dealing with an injury that may have caused his sudden decline this year.

If Art Le Deuce packed a decent pair he would send a letter to his employees and suggest they either delete their Twitter account or suffer a fine for controversial "tweets" that draw negative attention towards the Football Club.
"Twitter is the debil".

"Twitter is the debil".

That should be ANY social media account. Any postings that could be deemed in any way to be detrimental to the team draws a fine.

Agree with #1

As for #2 the IR designation seemed suspicious to me as a way to keep him without having to keep him on the 53 man roster. In any event, something was wrong with him last year, but I don't know how anyone could guess that it is more indicative of his abilities. If it, truly was an injury, I guess it wasn't bad enough for IR until later in the season?

I hope it is fixed.

The CBA probably limits that they can consider "detrimental to the team". Overall, I agree. If I show up on twitter wearing a shirt which has our corporate logo and make an *** of myself, online, my boss would have something to say to me.

Personally, I pray every single night that the league championships ARE planned for and fixed.

Frankly with Tomlin as our coach that's the ONLY way the Steelers sniff the SB again.

Ark,

Boz’s brother tweeted he suffered a Grade 2 Groin Tear and that’s why he was IR’d. PG, Trib and DKSports writers indicated after the Cinci game Boz suffered the tear during warm ups in NO. He played through it. After a couple days of rest the trainers said Boz could barely walk when he came in for treatment.

Never had a G2 groin tear, but someone commented on the board (Cope?) that suffering one of those is worse after rest because the muscles retract. Being warmed up and loose after it happened probably allowed him to continue in the game. Afterwards when he rested for a while that leg then locked up, and was more painful, hence being paced on IR.

The fact that Tomlin doesn't have 5 SBs tells me the league isn't rigged. The league pushes minority coaches and there would be more minority SB winners if it were up to Godell.

Especially, if he is getting slammed by fans and media for "losing control of the team" or not having the ability to run a team.

And ****, I thought my grade 1 was bad. And these take a long time to heal from. Sucks that it happened.

I will say though, that if Boz comes back next year and kicks like he did 2 years ago, this ends up being a net positive coaching move. Right now, it's a minus.

Best Comment:

"You had an elite kicker last year and gave up 42 points in a playoff game."

I agree with this, but still Boz sucked this year and IMO deserves whatever comes his way.
Shades with a good kicker: 13-3
Shades with a ****** kicker: 9-6-1.
Boz should be Team MVP.

The defense gave up 4 4th quarter leads in those 6 losses as well.

sure thing

All 4 teams today have elite kickers

and the responses...

On all 4 of those teams you wouldn’t have made the roster

Most people reading this are probably like, "Who in the hell is LJ Fort?" That's how little people even know who you are.

This comment right here is why a talented group like the @Steelers are sitting at home this January. Four TEAMS were in the AFC - NFC championship games.

They also had LBs that can play coverage and don’t run with cinder blocks in their pants

Wish we had elite linebackers

If only the Steelers had a defense who could stop anyone, they wouldn’t need to rely on a kicker to win games for them.

Remember when our kicker let the raiders march down and win the game. Or the saints. Or the chargers. Or the Browns. Or the Chiefs. Or the Broncos.

Just another example how the locker room and the organization is a circus..way to throw your teammate under the bus.. @CoachTomlin

This tweet is EXACTLY why the Steelers problems arent limited to just AB. Tomlin has no control over this team. You guys won 9 games. Stop blaming the kicker. How many leads did the defense blow? Why is a backup LB even speaking? What a joke of a team they’ve becomes

Special Teamers going after Special Teamers.....your 2018 Pittsburgh Steelers!

Thanks Spike.

These guys and social media...Fort is 250 pounds and built like a brick shithouse and could beat the **** out of Boz, but I bet he wouldn't have the balls to say that to his face

Bunch of 14 year old girls, what a mess

Yep you can't point to one and forget the other. Neither was good enough to get you a SB win. IMO even entertaining bringing BOz back is a fail. How could you really trust him in the clutch?
