He jumped on the call early. That never happens. I didn't have time to tell you guys we were going live, but the feed can be watched here. He is really elaborate in his answers and offers some great nuggets of insight on the coaches and players he played with:

Enjoyed the Vidcast. Thought Levon seemed intelligent, insightful and down to earth. I was most interested in how he viewed Cowher/Lewis coaching Lloyd and Greene through him and Brown. That is something I do with my players. You have to treat your veterans a little different. They are not immune to criticism, but the younger players watch and know they will be treated as a veteran in the coming year(s). also liked his point about the difference between college and pro. Thanks for including my question which was a great answer. Those were some big collisions and I totally remember the play he is talking about and think it became a Picture.

Long interview ................ enjoyed it.............

Great job Cope! Awesome interview! Levon was a staple of those great teams. Still don’t see how Greene is in the Hall of Honor before Kirk and Lloyd. I was one ticked off fan when they waived Kirk, but in hindsight that whole 2001 offseason was torturous because of Donahoe and Cowher’s head butting. Had Donahoe left a year earlier, I would contend Kirk would have played out his career in the Burgh.

We try and keep them 45min -1hr. I cut 6 questions and we still went 1hr20min. I really like where the conversations go sometimes, and it's up to me to let the participants elaborate the best they can, because that's when we get great personal stories!

And Great Point Ike. i didn't take Dohahoe into context there. The amount of awesome talent that walked at linebacker those years - Kirk, Brown, Vrabel. We stocked the league's cupboards!

Look if you have played or coached the game you know the value of a player like Kirkland goes so far beyond stats and when Lebeau said Lloyd was the best player he had seen tha treally means something. But stats matter for the HOF. If they didn't how would you compare players resumes. Kirkland and Lloyd are only getting in with a ticket. Greene had a 100 more sacks than Lloyd.

total aside, but anytime someone wants to compare Cowher to Tomlin they need to keep this in perspective. Cowher, Donahoe, mostly Three Rivers Stadium revenue vs. Tomlin, Colbert, Heinz Field revenues. When has the starting QB (O'donnell), and Pro Bowl/ Hall of Fame Talent like Woodson, Greene, Eric Green, Chad Brown been allowed to walk in FA under Tomlin. Cowher did what he did on the cheap. HUGE difference.
