LeVeon Bell is a "generational" player.

He's just in it for the paycheck, he doesn't really want to play anymore. He checked out mentally last year. Bam Morris v2.0.

Someone local that either covers MSU, or has ties to MSU, said before the season started that Leveon's head/heart wasn't in the game.

That's a shame because he really is so talented.

Yeap, there's only one idiot every generation that can lose all that money the Steelers were offering him and won't ever sniff at again

I apologize for not jumping on the let's slam Bell bandwagon, but using some of the same criteria we use to rip Bell in comparison to Conner, Bell's career YPC average is better than Jerome. That's assuming the numbers I'm looking at are accurate, which also take into account the not so great season he's having this year.

Take into consideration that there was near 2 men per average, in the box MORE than what Bell has faced on average throughout his generational career. BETTIS din't have a feared passing attack and teams loaded up on him but he still POUNDED the **** out of them.

BELL's perceived greatness was largely filled by the number of touches he had here in PITTSBURGH.

When Bell gets within 1000 yards of The Bus, then we can discuss how good of a career he had, and how he compares to Bettis.

Yes indeed, Bettis may have been the best closer ever in the NFL, minus one game. ;)

But think of what that one fumble created. Legendary status. I remember bolting out of my chair screaming, all the **** going through my mind in an instant. Then Ben flying in for the shoelace tackle to save the day. One of the great plays in Steeler History. 😅

it would be great having him in goal line situations with Ben. Do you stack the line to stop Bettis or try to cover the receivers in their routes???

Plus having a guy to just pick up yards late in the 4th quarter to just kill the clock....

So you're saying we need to fatten Snelly up??? I'm all for it!!!

Bell SUCKS. The Steelers made him look good. He's a loser who's not producing. His back up passed his rushing high for a game. The guy was busted for drugs, a liar, and skipped out on a game to go bowling.

Thank goodness he didn't sight here. We'd be stuck with this slug.

3.3 yards a rush ( His primary back up Powell is 3.9 yards per rush )
Just 3 TD's for the season
0 rushing plays beyond 20 yards

The only one happy with him in NY are the tax collectors.

Exactly wasn’t a fan of him when he was here he was product of the amount of touches like you said He wasn’t a big run or
Prodiuctiventd guy. He was a guy who would get you a
Few yards a carry which is great but also one of the reason the Steelers always struggled to score when he was here

He hasn't been here in two years now so I really don't give a ****, but I do get a smidge of satisfaction knowing the Jets wasted their money.

Oh I get way more than a smidge. Bell is a generational moron who flushed the prime of his career away to prove a point.....which he also failed at by not getting any more money from the Jets. Kudos to you, moron.

Bell was an incredible player. I really do not know what some of you guys are smoking.

He was not a home run threat, but he did everything else at an elite level.

He was a complete mismatch against LBs in the passing game, and usually made the first man miss in the running game.

At one point, only Jim Brown and Barry Sanders averaged more career total yards per game than Bell.

He was also amazing in the playoff loss to the Jaguars.

Hmmmm, making the 1st man miss..... gets you a 3.9ypc average.....

Punx, what got bell the yards was his number of touches. He had (memory) about 60 touches more than the next closest RB but yet couldn't land a rushing title...........

Touches doesn't necessarily mean rushes. Dude had 85 catches his last season in Pittsburgh. That's nothing to sneeze at. I know he is a pariah in these parts, but no one can deny he was an asset and a weapon for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
