With Jarvis being moved to the back up position let's take a look at this draft. There were 13 pass rushers taken and I believe only 3 of them have over 10 sacks. Plus there's a whole lot of suck for everyone in the first round.

Perhaps they would have went Eifert if Jones wouldn't have fell to them.

Interesting, Dion Jordan, Datone Jones and Jamie Collins.....might be available. Although Collins is looking for Von Miller contract figures. That won't happen.

Eifert, while a good talent, has been too up and down with his injury history. Of course, he would've felt right at home with all of our other draft picks.

Jordan has been a huge bust. Bigger then Jarvis

To coin a phrase from one of our famous posters.....

He wasn't used properly.....

Well maybe it was a week draft. All I know is that Jarvis Jones sucks. He is brutal. He hung around this defense like a bad case of herpes. Sometimes you add by subtracting. Him and Shamarko Thomas should have been subtracted a long time ago. Thomas would injure a groin or a hamstring if he was the equipment manager. That kid just doesn't want to play football.

Yeah, they sucked. Oh wait..... who did they get in round 2? That draft is a crap shoot.Dont care what you say.

It is hard to say how any player would do had they been drafted by a different team. That's the problem I have with looking at a draft and saying a player won't be good here because he wasn't good elsewhere. Hell, David Carr may have been just as good or better than his younger brother but got stuck on a really bad Houston team for years. You just never know, but to not recognize that the team or system that you get drafted into has no say in a players performance is also short sighted.

I said pass rushers, brain surgeon. Lev Bell, Hopkins, and a few others were the only ones worth a **** in multiple rounds.

I was actually wanting Eifert as I figured the retirement of HEATH it would be warranted. I know drafting is an educated crap shot but it seems as our dynamic draft duo are lacking the educated part.

Salute the nation

The guy I was hoping for was Star Lotulelei. I never thought he was gonna make it out of the top 5-10, and then it looked like he was going to have a Decastro-type slide and that he'd be our pick. Unfortunately, Carolina ****** all that up. If he would've been there, I feel like he was the pick, which only angers me more because he went a whole three picks in front of them.

I wanted Xavier Rhodes, how's he doing? Lost track of the guy

I think it was a three day draft lol

In retrospect you trade down and get Trufant and extra picks. We reached for a player and we paid for it because he just flat out isn't what we expect for an OLB in this defense. Its clear what great OLBs do in a 3-4 defense. Just go look at Denver's D.

At the time I wanted to trade down and snag Jamie Collins at the end of rd 1.

The sad thing is, prior to his injury or whatever he was viewed by most as a top 10 pick.

Eric Reid went right after...good thing we didn't need a safety. (effin GM!)

They ran to the podium to turn in his name ...like they were drafting the next LT....from what I remember that pick was pretty much hated by the vast majority here

Yes. Who a team drafts has as much to do with what other teams did before them as it does their skill in drafting. It can prevent a team from making a mistake and drafting a much better player than they we're targeting.

As much as we like to praise or criticize, a lot of it is dumb luck.

A very talented running back that gets injured a lot and gets suspended a lot. If he lasts 8 years in this league, I'd be surprised.
