Steelers have already addressed their 3 biggest needs OLB, CB, WR. The next need would be TE and RB. After that, you're just looking for BPA and probably want another DB.

Here's some of the best prospects available grouped by their approximate rounds. It;s nowhere near a full list obviously, but the most likely targets based on need and visits. The names in bold has visits with the Steelers.

Round 4
J Ajayi RB BYU - surprised he wasn't drafted already. Very productive big back.
Jeremy Langford RB Mich St - ran fast 40 but doesn't play that fast.
Karlos Williams RB Florida St - big back.
David Cobb RB MInnesota - great inside runner
Jesse James TE Penn State - huge TE, athletic, one of the best blocking TEs
Ben Koyack TE Notre Dame
Blake Bell TE Oklahoma - converted QB, not a blocker, may not be on steelers board
Josh Shaw CB USC - 6 ft 201 ran 4.38, played some S, not sure why he's dropping.
Doran Grant CB Ohio St
Ikpre-Olomu Oregon - may be off the board due to medical
Adrian Amos FS Penn State - experience at S and CB
Derron Smith FS Fresno St
TJ Clemmings OT Pitt
Tre Jackson G Florida St - kind of fat, may not be a steeler type
Gabe Wright DT Auburn

Round 5
Davis Tull OLB Tenn-Chatt - small school workout warrior, high motor
Kyle Emanuel OLB N Dakota St
Max Valles OLB Virginia
Wes Saxton TE S Alabama
Devin Gardner WR/QB Michigan
Nick Marshall CB/S/QB Auburn - played QB only at Auburn, project player
Deion Barnes DE/OLB Penn State
Jake Ryan DE/OLB Michigan

Round 6-7
Justin Cox FS Miss St
Cameron Clear TE/OT Texas A&M
Max Garcia G/C Florida
Quinton Spain OG West Virginia

I think you will see a DB and TE with the first two picks today. While I love some of the RBs on the board, I don't think the FO sees it as a big need. i think they grab the RB from Florida, Jones, or Vince Williams brother from FSU in 6 or 7. How about Mike Davis from South Carolina.

I think you are on to something Al. Jesse James if he does not get picked before we do and maybe another defensive end tweener type if there are any left. There might be a guard that would be an upgrade over Foster available. The run on the corners took most of the talent already anything left is likely a project but we need one. Hopefully they find some players that can beat some of the guys we have for roster spots, if we do that we will have improved the team and had a successful draft.

Usually I write off the guys pushing for a Pitt or Penn State guy as homering, but I really would like to take a mid round shot on James.

My guess is if we don't get Jesse James, we will look at CJ Uzomah or Cam Clear. Both could go as PFAs but this draft board hasn't been too convincing w TEs so far.

Matt JOnes is gone already. Mike Davis is a good late prospect. I don't think the steelers will target a RB, but there are so many good ones that RB might be BPA in a few rounds. Particularly if the TEs Jesse James and Wes Saxton are off the board.

I try to watch my homerism when evaluating Penn Staters for the STeelers. I love LB Mike Hull, but i don't see him as a fit for the steelers. I was also silent on OT Donovan Smith because he's lazy and may eat himself out of the league.

I've been pushing Adrian Amos and Jesse James because both are great fits for the steelers. DE/OLB Deion Barnes could be a good project player but with Bud Dupree in the mix, he's likely off the board for the Steelers.

I do like OG Miles DIffenbach as a late round or FA pickup. He is a solid player who missed most of last year with injury.

Kicker Sam Ficken would be a good free agent as well. He has a great leg. This kid struggled big time to start his career. He had to play earlier than intended because their starting K transferred. He missed a ton of FGs. He even lost a game with a missed XP. Bears K and former Penn Stater Robbie Gould worked with him and by his senior year, Ficken was one of the better K in the nation and a team captain. WHat i like most about him is that kicking is mostly mental and this kid already overcame huge mental hurdles.

Priority FA, IMO. You can never have enough solid 3-4 OLB projects in the pipe.

Well I got the positions right but my RBs were all taken earlier than expected (Jones in Round 3). How about Josh Robinson from Miss St.?
